That is great news if a demo is coming out for this game next month. That is one thing I really like about this game system is that you can try demos of games before deciding to buy them.

I'm very happy for everyone that they will soon have a playable demo. Unfortunately, as a side note, I am very displeased with the news at hand. If the Japanese version will not play with the US version online then I guess Topcat nor I will get to play most of you. It's actually going to be very frustrating if our save files do not load up on a US game (which would be the most possible and worst case scenario). I know he's not going to want to spend the hundreds of hours re-establishing cards, all achievements, avatar parts, and DLC as much as I don't want to. Hope for our sake we can at least use our save file between versions. This actually works for some games, but most of them are English language heavy (ie. DOA4).
Cheers

You guys have been a major source of information for us here on the forum, and it would be a shame to not be able to play you. Here's hoping the saves work..

I must admit that this is about the most frustrating news. It's not like there hasn't already been precedents set which allow international network play (Halo 3, Lost Planet, etc.). Not sure why Namco would think regional play is best. I mean, the current netcode isn't exactly stellar. Ah well, c'est la vie.
Short of a gun being put to my head there's not a chance I'll earn everything again, though. Hopefully there will be some tricky way to get cross-game play going. Their general code is sloppy enough that just such a thing might be possible.

I don't think so, I was hoping to get the deck of playing cards that comes with the Japanese version. I reserved my copy yesterday and they didn't mention any exclusives for reserving it.

That's a shame. I suppose the game hasn't received enough publicity here to warrant a pre-order gift, but it would have been nice to give something back to the faithful. Wasn't there a in-game E-class Dragon that was also given away in Japan?

It was an E-card called Marvel that we got along with the deck of cards for preordering (and she's an angel and not a dragon ^_^). She's probably the best E card along with Zeromn.
I've been wondering if she'll just be included in the USA cardset or if she'll just be ditched altogether. It's only a few more weeks before we find out.
