That's a great price indeed. The US is really picky with what they buy and how much they pay for games, making developers decrease the price on several games that are released here. EDF3 was just released stateside at $39.99. I'm all for it if that's what it takes for people to start buying the good/fun games that don't have a "Triple A" name/company behind them.
I wonder if there will be any pre-order bonus items for the US game? Also, if anyone else is curious, I will be testing out the compatability of a US versus Japanese save file. With some games you can actually use the same save file for either version. Just an added bonus for some.

Thanks Owell, the ratings on that site seem too harsh. I think the developers are doing a good job of improving and fixing the game. The web site has been updating frequently with new patches and updates.
I wonder if the price drop was caused by the problems they are having with the J version and the release date getting pushed back so far. Hopefully they release a demo in the U.S., many people who own X-box are not familiar with the other Culdcepts. This would give them a chance to try the game for free. I haven't preordered my copy yet because I am waiting to see if there will be some kind of promotion for the game.

That questionnaire OWell posted might make me reconsider getting Culdcept Saga if they don't issue more stability fixes. What's the use of playing online if you get booted every 15 minutes?
"Compared to other XBox Live games, how stable is Culdcept Saga (please only reply if you have played other XBox Live games)
Saga is the most stable: 0 Very stable: 1 Same as others: 7 A bit worse: 47 Quite obviously worse: 86"
and
"How satisfied are you with the stability of online play?
It's fine now: 3 Well...it's okay: 45 Dissatisfied. Needs improvement: 98 Dissatisfied, but I'm not bothering with it anymore: 30 Don't care about online stability: 5"
The people responding are also pretty confident in this poll:
"Will the results of this questionnaire be reliable?
It will be reflective of the user base: 123 It will be skewed due to being a self-selected sample: 16 It will be ruined by trolls and fake votes: 13 The sample size will be too small: 29"

Owell: Ouch. I think the fans are very upset in Japan.
Lizardman and Ckazz: Thanks for the insight on the downloadable content. I checked Monday in the Market Place since I have not checked in a long time for any random updates and found nothing. It would just be my luck that I checked a little early. I'll fill everyone in with the costs that could be attached to these new additions tonight. Unless they're actually on the link from Lizardman. I'm at work and not everything shows up.

Well per major nelson it looked like Asia only oddly enough tho Lizardsman link should be speaking to the Japanese populace (whether its up already or not tho I dunno)
From that page looks like a few free bits and most 50/100pts. Also on that major nelson thread was mention of a map for gold members, looks like its on your link, I dont see a point cost, free?
Can't say I'm a fan of 50/100pts for single item/avatar bits but if the price comes in right I'll be more open to it, definately more keying on maps, and maybe at some point ? cards

Yeah, the map is free. What's more, it looks like an interesting map to play on, with its small size and the alternating starting land colors in each of the areas. I don't think I would pay for cepter parts/book covers either, but I'd be willing to pay for maps and cards if the price was right, since they substantively expand the game (as opposed to only aesthetically). That said, the tiger-print book cover is really cool. You know what I'd pay quite a bit for? A map editor and online map sharing.

It's good news that the map is free. You need to have a gold account to download it. Not that this would be a problem for most people. As it shows, almost all the avatar parts and book covers are either 50 to 100 points. However, some are free. I worked it out and I believe about 1700 points covers everything. Which runs about $20. It's a bit much for how little you receive, but I'm a sucker for extras. I may pick them up down the road.
Not to get too far off track here but does anyone know of a good place online to pickup Microsoft Point Cards for the Japanese region? My main account is on the US Marketplace and my sub account which I don't use any forms of payment is on the Japanese Marketplace. I can't use my credit card to purchase points on it either due to billing address not being physically in Japan. I'd rather not bother anyone I know there to buy a card in Akihabara. There is a lot I'd like to purchase on the Japanese marketplace. Thanks in advance.

Hmm interesting idea you had there, and although I think it should (or maybe would have to :b) come with the game, I'd likely throw some MS points at online trading and co-op play.

Now, I've found the website that international shipping service from Japan. www.dankedanke.com/en/how_to_order.htmlTo use this site, you can get Japanese region of Microsoft Point Card easily. In Japan, Two types of Microsoft Point Card (1,400 MSP and 3,500 MSP) are sold . If you won't play "the iDOLM@STER", It will be enough for 3500 Japanese MSP. But, to play "the iDOLM@STER", You had better to buy 76,500 MSP........

And thank goodness I'm not playing it. Those items are so expensive. I'll definitely have to order a card so I can get some japanese stuff. Thanks for the tip. Also, Adam and I have started playing Culdcept again. We definitely both want to play with you again online sometime. We had a lot of fun last time with you and xcepter. Plus we've got to learn more of your strategies. ^_^

Thanks, PzKwIVG. I will most likely use a site to pick up a card. I don't feel like waiting for when I return to Japan to obtain a point card. I can't believe how expensive iDOLM@STER is with all the extras on the marketplace.
Yes, we have started playing a bunch, again. I actually completed the card collection today. Little late to the "complete list" party. I will play around in maintenance some to start testing out deck theories I've been tossing around.
