Although the major dragons have the same 60 str spell power, the dragons have a double land requirement (ie. 140gp +YY) whereas Marvel does not. Marvel is also cheaper, and neutral in color which makes her harder to negate. Although the ability looks strong on paper, rest assured, it is worse in practice.
Toad can correct me on this, but at the end of our 95 round game, Marvel (at one point there were two in hand/board) accounted for over 80% of his kills.
I have scroll reflection, and defensive items, but toad was also using item theft. There are creatures that can survive the 60 damage scroll attack, but Marvel can pick her fights. Also, if you don't know it's coming, you can end up front loading a level 5 land investment with one of your toughest creatures, and Marvel can pop up and fire a laser beam through it. ><
Unlike the major dragons, Marvel is really a glass cannon - but the glass part is "balanced" by her no-requirement cost.
If you can get your hands on the preorder code, I would definitely go for it. ><

We've got the codes printed on our Marvel trump cards. Unfortunately, it seems the code doesn't work on my account. I speculate it's because I signed up on the american marketplace. I guess I'll have to make a new japanese account (my current one ran out of the gold trial) so that I can use the code and get the bonuses and play online with them. Though, not even Marvel is worth buying a second subscription of Gold just to use.

Marvel is available by entering the code on the card of the same name in the free promo deck. I sure this will irritate completionist because this is the only time it will ever be offered... but I guess since I got mine....

And yes, you must be logged into Japanese marketplace to complete the code.

And tangerine was right, most of my kills were done with Marvel and then walked back over and switched out to put her back in my hand. It is starting to feel a bit cheap to use so I have made an online versus deck that does not incorporate the Marvel... but it is so hard to resist her angelic beauty and raw holy might...

I'm going to try and use my random free month that I occasionally create to DL stuff from the Japanese Marketplace (ie Bullet Witch outfits) to DL Marvel and see if I can somehow transfer it to my actual Xbox Live account. Probably not, eh? I don't think you could ever trade E cards. Hmmm. I'd only want Marvel to complete my set. I hope this doesn't ruin any achievements.
Edit: I'd also like to mention after playing a few maps I've gotten the Valkyrie looking helm, the Jesters Cap (wraps around under your chin too), rusty looking armor plates, and a mace. I'd also like to mention my jealousy that Topcat already has the ninja mask I yearn to gain. ><;

The biggest problem with getting the ninja mask is... ... getting something that looks good with the ninja mask. ;D Somehow flowing white robes and a flaming red cloak doesn't do it. (

Well, I guess I'll have to try and make due with being half ninja, half oddball that doesn't match. Do you remember the requirements off-hand for obtaining the ninja mask?

(spoiler!) Not like there aren't a bunch of them out there but -
ninja mask = win a game without paying toll.

Thanks. I thought I might have gotten that already but I guess I must have payed one toll on each of the maps I played. We should make a list of spoilers for the items as we all aquire them. Unless someone has a link to a Japanese list already in creation?

Is the Ninja garb this requirement? And if so, what is it trying to say exactly? "All lands victory do in state of level 1, (without possession yes)." - All your lands need to be level 1?
- All lands in general need to be level 1?
- Control all lands on board when you win, and they must be level 1?
The exclusion of possession is what makes me wonder about having to own all lands on the board.

I believe the ninja gi has the following requirement:
In a 2v2 alliance game, you must win with your ally not paying a land toll.
Here are some things I made note of whilst playing:
Marvel + Evil Blast is a good way to kill high HP creatures, like Stonewall.
Burning Titan gains ST/HP-30 if his owner owns 5 or more lands. If you use Marvel to make his MHP=30, he'll die at the start of battle (I can't remember when he takes the loss so armor might prevent this).
I guess you can also do something silly like use her TA, then use a Leprechaun in battle and give the enemy creature Storm Causer which is ST=60, HP-30.
