I am, I have played over 500 hours on the PS2 version, unlocked all the cards and medals, and I still enjoy playing the game! I also have the Japanese Sega Saturn game, I beat that game too and collected all the cards in it as well. I am ready for a new Culdcept though. The next in the series looks to improve upon the last version with new cards, sounds, features, and gameplay. So far the U.S. pre-release date is set for January 1st 2007. I wish it could somehow make it here before X-Mas. So until it gets released over here I figured I might as well read about the system I will be buying. X-BOX Live, makes it where you will be able to play other people online! Custom soundtracks, will let you use the songs you choose in place of the ones in the games. Very cool!, now I won't have to drive my brother nuts when I play a song like the Dunnan song over 100 times. X-BOX Marketplace, download stuff to change your avatars appearance has been mentioned. Hopefully it will be possible to download new cards, maps, and AI opponents as well. Custom faceplates for the front of the game system, I am thinking about making a Culdcept Saga faceplate for my system. Maybe I could post screenshots of it when i'm finished.

i'm gonna buy one too before this comes out, i've considered buying one before but i just don't see that many good games out for it, all fps's, hopefully the price will drop by at least 100 for the christmas season, if it was the same as the ps2 version but playable online i'd gladly shell out the 500 bucks for it and the infinite replayability, i'm just dying waiting for culdcept and guitar hero 2, if they came out 10 minutes from now i'd be at the nearest game store banging on the door and asking for an early copy

Culdcept Saga is currently the only game which makes me regret not owning an Xbox 360. I don't care about the Xbox Live features. (I can play my own card/board game online.) I'd just like to own another Culdcept and be able to go card hunting.

Yup so buying a 360 just for sagas and I know 2 others who will do the same. Rumor is that the 360 will have a price drop around the Wii and PS3 launch. That would be awesome.

Unless you've already got the game and a kick-ass PC, I highly recommend getting Oblivion to any prospective 360 buyers. I've been playing RPG's since the early 80's, played everything from Ultima and Wizardry to Final Fantasy and Shin Megami. But Oblivion is quite simply, the best one ever made IMO.

I got my 360 for Gears of War and Culdcept Saga, but I will also get some games along the way and after, but Im not sure if I would have bought the 360 at all if not for those two games coming to it (and seeming to be exclusive).

In all likelihood I'll be getting an X360 at some point now. I'm very excited about this.

Professor ExMortis! Hail and well-met, friend! Glad to see you visiting again!
Given that you have expressed your excitement about getting an Xbox 360 in order to play Culdcept Saga, hopefully we can look forward to receiving your strategically-insightful commentary with regard to this new title, too...

Hail indeed. I'm certainly hoping this time they do well enough with the localization that I don't need to document what all the cards actually do -_-

Hmmm...I learned to wait. I prefer strategy RPGs (something like Disgae on PS2) and I don't believe the 360 would focus on this. I do like D&D, but again, I think the PS2 will have more on this (there will be a D&D Tactics for the PSP, so perhaps the D&D brand will be PS2 exclusive although D&D heroes for available only for the Xbox). The only real motive for me to get the 360 so far will be Culdcept Saga. Unlike many, I don't have the money to buy such a steep priced system without second thoughts. I will wait for the game to come out FIRST and see if by then the price of the 360 has gone down (it should have). I also believe that there is always a chance for a cross platform (although a slim one at that).
Still, if the 360 will be the only system that will have culdcept, then it will be my next generation system of choice.

Thinking about this, does anyone know if there's an XBox 360 Emulator? I can't find one online, but it would definitely be a way to go, seeing as this is likely to only 360 game I'd want to play, and it can't be as graphically intense as a normal 360 game.
