I'm getting mine from Sega Direct (the second link). . but now I have to contact some people and try and get all the jokers. It's only a little over a month before we see the release. I really can't wait. Does anyone else on here have a pre-order at a different store/company?

Obviously i'm being an utter noob here, but if i preordered from, say, my local gamestop what card would i be getting? Also are these game cards or some sort of playing card that comes with the game. I'll crawl back in my little hole now.

So, yeah, that being the case, you'd most likely only be reserving the US game. Also, these are game cards with Culdcept art printed on them. A full 54 card deck, I believe, with the jokers assigned as state above.

I can see the set of Jokers fetching a hefty price on eBay one of these days. I wonder if there will be online tournaments for this game with prizes like the ones offered in the Japan tournaments. I remember seeing several holofoil Culdcept cards behind glass, I can't remember the site though. Hopefully this stuff won't be too hard to collect because I want to own all of it.

As much as I might like an Ba=al joker deck, I'd take any of them really.

Lizardman: Ebay is the last place I'd expect to find good Culdcept items as of now. At least at a decent price. I'll most likely have to scour Yahoo Japan Auctions. I'll have to look into those holofoil cards, I don't think I ever saw any pictures for them. Oh, and Happy Birthday! I hope you enjoy Friday the 13th.
As for the tournaments, if any are held I would imagine them holding it on LIVE, so I don't think it would be hard as a foreigner to join in on a tournament given there is room for you at the time of sign-up.

There is also the matter of understanding the rules. Japanese always use interesting rules in their tournaments to spice things up.

That review seems a little cold. But then Xbox always has placed over emphesis on how a game looks as to how it plays, stratagy of power over pleasure, The fact is there are a large number of xbox titles that just look far better than they play. And culdcept is at it's core a fun game who doesn't care about how it looks. I'm not sure the two will work well togther, i just hope someone gives it a chance over here.

Hey very nice - bit disappointing not a few more polys in some of those shots (one guys face looked perfectly flat :b lol) but on the flipside I can see things have more detail and are sharper. By no means remotely taxing the 360 but hey its a step up
