I got the medal playing Zagol, Aldha, and Whirlwind at Cratos 1 with a 30 round limit. Nothing special about the deck, except for 4 Catastrophe and 4 Life Stream. Towards the end of the game, I played Catastrophe, followed by a Life Stream, then another Catastrophe. Things to watch out for when doing this: if you don't have 4 Catastrophe, you may need to set the round limit higher to make sure you draw them. Also, if any of the other Cepters pass the castle while you're doing this, their creatures will still be alive. Hope this helps you!

I'm working on this medal right now. I'm playing agains Zabol, Morroc, and Selena. My strategy is to get my Old Willow out as soon as possible. I got my Two-Headed-Attacker medal by putting my Old Willow on a loop on the Heavenly Alter board. My opponents went in circles the entire game allowing for an easy win. I'm assuming this would work for three opponents too.
EDIT: I did it. I played the first map (Dunnan?) against the water girl, the alchemist weirdo, and the fat theif. I managed to level up a Cait Sith up to level five and they couldn't hurt it. I then replaced it with an old Willow and won easily.

I'm wondering about this Repeated Victory medal. In the FAQ I have it says to win 50 one on one battles against story characters. Do you have to do this in Story mode or Versus mode or does it not matter? Is there an easy to keep track of how many wins you have? I've never really counted how many fights or have done many in Versus mode.

As far as I can tell, you can earn the medal through story mode or versus mode battles. As long as you're only fighting story characters.
And I know you can see your totals of how many matches you've played/won/lost. But I don't think it keeps track of how many you played against story characters. Just keep playing, and you'll get it eventually.

Hey, I got my Repeated Victories already... Phew... From my own experience, u can get this medal by fighting any story character in either Story Mode or Versus Mode... This is for sure...
Plus, u have to fight the story character in a 1-on-1 battle... It is bcoz my result when I get this medal is I fought 62 battles, I lost 4 matches, means I won 58 battles... this medal want us to achieve 50 wins, so 58 minus 50 equals 8... I forgot how many times I fought in team battle but I m sure I nvr fight against any non-story character...
So, from this, I can say this medal can only be obtained by "win 50 matches in 1-on-1 battle versus story character"...

Thanks, guys. I'm going to restart story mode when I get a chance and play it when I don't feel like going for a medal to pick up some new cards.

Hmm, so you're sure about that OldTin? I would of thought that beating a 1 on 2 or 1 on 3 battle would count too as long as you're just up against story characters.

Oops, I nvr try that b4... I think 1-on-2 or 1-on-3, the '1' should be referred to u... I think if u team up with other story character to fight a battle, it will not be counted...
I just write out my opinion... but the statement I wrote in the previous message sure will get u the medal... plus, if play in the 1-on-2 or 1-on-3 battle, it will be more difficult to win, right???
so I think the "Win 50 battles against any story character in 1-on-1 battle, whether in Story Mode or Versus Mode" is the best way to get this medal... Agree???

[glow=red,2,300]Spoiler[/glow]
I have found a very easy way to obtain the Solitary Swordsman medal (and thus, the Two-Headed Attacker medal). If someone needs help, just please post that you want me to show my spoiler tactics.

Why not just go ahead an post it? I don't think a strategy toward earning a medal is really a "spoiler" anyway, particularly in the Medal Hunting section. Spoilers are usually unexpectedly revealing plotlines or secrets about a game (or book or movie, etc.). This would just be a strategy, and not the least bit unexpected, given the location/thread...
I think that double catastrophe strategy is pretty cool, but I'm always interested in seeing good new strategies.

Okay. I choose the Keldar map (map #35) due to the fact that half the spaces are water. This gave me a definate advantage to making a water book. I set the magic goal to 25K, but later found out that 25K might have been a bit high.
My opponents were: Najaran, Zagol, and Selena.
I choose these opponents due to the fact that they don't have water creatures in their books. NICE!
My book is was as follows: 1 Brass Idol - never get stuck waiting too long for the card you want 1 Horned Chameleon 1 Leoknight 1 Migoal 1 Conjurer 1 Domovikha 1 Leshy 1 Sage 2 Anubias 1 Dagon 1 Giant Amoeba 1 Kelpie - all I felt that I needed with Brass Idol handy 1 Leviathan 1 MmmLilith 1 Vision 1 Vodyanoi 2 Wall of Ice 1 Yeti -------------------- 1 Air Slasher 1 Icicle 1 Rock Biter 1 Water Amulet 1 Lance of Odin 1 Nuclear Fusion 1 Prismatic Wand 1 Spike Shield 1 Heart Fibula 1 Dragon Helm 1 Gremlin Amulet 1 Gaseous Form 1 Counter Amulet 2 Water Shield ------------------------- 1 Backward 1 Holy Word 0 1 Holy Word 10 2 Barrier 1 Death Cloud 1 Ice Storm 1 Disease 1 Fly 1 Influence 1 Sink 1 Land Protection 1 Wing 1 Shatter 1 Manna
STRATEGY: The idea here is to focus much of your attention and magic on only a few key pieces of land. Try to own more than one water land so rent paid by your opponents is substantial and not simply peanuts. Because your opponents have the Peace spell, not having Land Protection could be devastating in this quest. This is where Domovikha comes into play. Even if you can only do it a couple of times before it is killed, have your Domovikha cast Land Protection on key lands that you want to protect.
** The two best pieces of land to own are in the East and West portions. Those lands that border the Shops are crossed twice on each lap. If possible, get a Kelpie to sit there. Once your Kelpie is Land Protected, level it up as fast as you can. **
Add negative spells to your opponents creatures. You don't have to necessarily kill them because Selena will cast the Peace spell to remove the negative spell that you have on their creature (ie Disease).
Your opponents use the shops too often unless they anticipate that they may need a Water Shield in the NEAR future. The same eight cards pop up in the shops (4 in each), so you can predict your purchase outcome. I RECOMMEND ALWAYS BUYING A WATER SHIELD ANYTIME YOU HAVE THAT CHOICE. This will compensate for the fact that you only have 2 Water Shields in your book to make room for other stuff.
Use your Sink spell wisely. Save your influence for your creatures but use the Sink spell to hit your opponents creatures that you may soon encounter in a battle to remove their bonus HP status.
Don't be afraid to toss cards and same magic money in the beginning too. YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE EVERY POSSIBLE CARD JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN.
If anyone has questions, please post. Good Luck and happy medal hunting.

Hmm... well that's certainly not what I expected. One significant problem here is that you are playing on map 35, which many people don't have. For instance, I have 49 medals now, but I don't have that one. You need at least 35 medals to unlock that, and then you've only got a 50/50 chance (at 35 medals, you get 5 random maps between 31-40, which may or may not include that one). I'm going to have to get all 50 before I unlock it. Sounds like a cool map though. I have tried the catastrophe method, and it worked exactly as planned... BUT unfortunately even though I wiped out every enemy monster on the board on the last round, and left all of mine intact, my opponents STILL had about 100 more magic than I did when the game ended. Ehh... I probably should have set the round limit higher than 30... Anyway, after that failed, the other day I reluctantly went ahead and got this medal by using a deck loaded with Kelpies and Old Willows. Yes, I know, very original! Oh well, I did manage to get it on the first try, but I still wish there was a better method...
