Does anyone know if you are required to win 100 battles in Story Mode to acquire this medal, or can you win it by beating Story Mode characters 100 times in Vs. Mode? I got the Repeated Victory medal (50 victories) quite some time ago, but I can't remember if I got it in Story Mode or in Vs. mode..

I believe it must be in story mode- but I hope we can have confirmation on this.
My belief is based on the 50 battle medal- I am almost positive I had well over 50 battles if you added my story mode wins to my vs. mode wins- but I didn't get the medal until fighting several additional story mode games. And yes, I won the medal after winning a story mode game.
I'm currently trying for the 100 wins medal and have restarted the game so as to fight training goligan. It is important to note that he playes a different deck in vs. mode that is actually a bit stronger- so restarting might be a good idea even if you could win in vs. mode.

I'm actually in the time-consuming process of testing this out. I've got around/at least 20 victories in story mode (beat it and went back for a few things), and now I'm plowing through 30 VS battles against Mullyn. If I get to a total of 50 (probably even a few more to be sure), and no medal, then I'd say it's confirmed it has to be in story mode, which is a pain. The 50/100 victory medals are easily my least favorite in the game because they can't be 'accomplished' exactly, it's just time and repetition.

In regards to to the Repeated Victory medal - it does have to be battles in Story mode. I just barely got this medal and i have around 90 total victories, but i just barely received this medal after i was just going for some extra cards against Goligan (i pick on him a lot) at Dunnan.
25 medals down - 25 to go.

I haven't gotten the medal for 100 victorys yet, but I remember getting the 50 wins medal the same time as as Two-Headed Attacker, so vs. battles would seem to count. Also, it should be noted that the in-game Results screen counts all games, not just games against Story characters. For example, my results screen shows 190 wins, however, subtracting the games from my other characters, only 88 of those were against story characters.

I received the 50 win medal last night playing a game in Vs. mode. I'll check to see how many wins I have total to see if there are any discrepancies.

I've only played against story characters. I'm guessing that Sudden Death victories do not count (I've only won a few times in Sudden Death.) Plus I think it makes sense because you can't win by Sudden Death in Story Mode.

I can verify that this medal can be achived by playing against story characters in Vs. Mode.
To test, I played in actual story mode matches and kept saving until I achieved the medal. Then, I restarted instead of saving (so my counter was at 49 Story mode victories), and played a Vs. match against a story character. Sure enough, after that match, I also got the medal.

what kind of deck and what opponents did everyone use for quick matches to get this medal?
also, what board did you fight on (can't think why you wouldn't use dunnan, but you never know)

I'm sitting at 49 medals, really REALLY hating the idea of 45 or so more wins to earn Victor Among Victors. Anyway, if anyone actually has the Victor Among Victors medal, can you confirm that versus battle against story characters count? I KNOW that Repeated Victory (50 wins) can be won from versus mode (that's how I got it), and assume that the 100 wins medal would be the same. It would be nice to know for sure ahead of time though.
So are there any opinions on the absolute fastest way to win matches against the CPU? I am still debating whether Goligan in story mode (with his weak deck) or Mullyn in versus mode (using an anti-Mullyn deck) would be faster/easier (both on Dunnan w/5k win limit). Any opinions? Any ideas on the ultimate deck for winning quickly? Thanks for any help!

I know that I did NOT get my 'Repeated Victory' medal until I had 58 total wins; 50 in story mode and 8 in versus mode. So it is my assumption that the versus mode wins does NOT count towards that medal.
Similarily then, I would assume that you need 100 Story mode wins for the 'Victor Among Victors' medal.

Some people in this thread have gotten the medal in versus mode however, so that would seem to point in the direction that it is possible to win this medal through versus mode matches. Perhaps you had played versus mode against human players? Maybe those don't count? |

MmmLilith, perhaps you got some victories in versus mode that were against player controlled or AI adjusted opponents? (Those definitely don't count).
But I can say with absolute certainty that versus matches against story opponents do count for Repeated Victory, because I have only won approximately 25 matches in story mode total, with approximately 25 wins in versus mode against story opponents (with 100+ wins versus player controlled opponents), and I have earned Repeated Victories. I earned Repeated Victories from a versus match, (with my last 20+ story character wins coming in versus mode). If you check this thread, others have had my same experience and tested it.
The only thing I don't know for sure is whether Victor Among Victors is the same way...

Im pretty sure that Victor among Victors can only be done in story mode, but I'm not positive.

This medal can be gotten through VS mode, just not against humans or AI creations. I have victor among victors and I only played through story mode twice - I know THAT doesn't add up to 100 wins.
