I'm very interested in hearing what sort of Card Combos other Culdcept players like to use. I'll start out with one I've used in the past (and that I previously posted on the GameFAQs board). I believe that I first noticed this tactic being used by Selena on the Malthessburg map:
Combine the Fire card Manes with a Land Protection spell. Manes receives a during combat +20 HP bonus (added to its base of 40 HP) if the land it is on has Spell effects cast upon it. Land Protection allows for the creature on that land only to be targeted by the Remove Curse spell. So, although Land Protection helps to protect any "critical" piece of land in your posession from Spells like Magic Bolt and Evil Blast, making the Manes a 60 HP creature on a well-protected land is a good thing...

I can think of 2.
1. Gremlin with Battering Ram. Sure kill to ANY defense creature. Unless of course the defense creature has a spell like simulacra cast on it.
2. Cait Sith with any vitality or similar spells. And level up the land like mad. Cait Sith neutralizes attacks of creature with ST40 or more, so you can only use creatures with ST30 or less. Cait Sith has HP of 30, and assuming you use vitality spell and place her on a level 5 land, she'll have a total of 100HP! So your attacking creature needs to have a weapon with ST70 to knock Cait Sith down, and there's no such weapon! Of course the easy way to get around that is just use a scroll attack....

The exact counters to Gremlin+BR are as follows:
Dullness on the land (BR cannot be used).
Vortex on the land (defender could use an item because Gremlin's ability is nullified).
Hurricane with 30 ST or more (either from support, a status like Vitality, or Reinforce).
Any defense creature with 30 ST or more, if Silver Idol is out or if it has Wings.
Sea Bonze nullifies Gremlin's ability so he could use a defensive item.
Wonderwall neutralizes attacks from Y creatures.
Important to keep in mind that if the defense creature isn't damaged, BR's bonus attack doesn't go off.
Cait Sith w/Vitality or Regeneration on a lvl5 land is pretty good, but there are a lot of things which can kill it also.
A creature with the Support ability and an ST of 30 can kill it with Executor, Colossus, Beelzebub, or Flame Lord. If it has support from adjacent allies it can be done with even more creatures.
Several cards have a printed ST of 30 or less (often 0) but increase based on other factors, such as Leoknight, Soul Collector, Lung, Night Fiend, and Coati. Cait Sith's ability checks against the opponent's printed ST and thus would not neutralize the above cards, all of which can get to 100 ST if the circumstances are right.
Additionally, creatures with Death affects like Samurai, Wraith, or the scroll Death can possibly kill it no matter how much HP it has.
Also, Terrair gives a creature ST based on the number of Y lands the cepter possesses, so any creature with 30 ST or less could potentially use it and kill Cait Sith.
Finally, paralyzing the Cait Sith prevents its ability from working, not to mention prevents it from using items to defend itself. and that's to say nothing of cards which might not kill it but can prevent the toll from being paid (Barrow Wight, Sleep, Little Gray).
All that said, both are still pretty good combos, although Gremlin+BR is pretty meaningless if your opponent doesn't have defense creatures.
Here's a combo that's fun, if not terribly practical. Basalt Idol+Dynamite. You end up with an item that gives +60 ST and doesn't kill the user at the end of battle.

Heres a combo in Goligan's "tricky" deck: Temperance + Evil Blast. This combo will kill any creature (not enchanted with phantasm or land protect).
Oh, and thanks for your analysis Ben Ra. Do you ever get out of the Culdscience Institute?

The Institute is a state of mind as much as anything else. So no, I never really get away.
Son Ascetic+Centaur(as support): the Centaur recycles itself back into the deck.

Here's a mean little trick that was used against me:
Drop a MINE off at the castle - and then use a holy word to have your opponent land there (you landing on it would be very bad), because you receive the castle's reward before the Mine takes effect so the person that ends up landing on it would have there current G + bonus G added together and then lose half of that, so it can be pretty hurtful depending on when it was used during the game.
Of coarse when i landed on it, i had been saving up some G to level up a territory and after receiving my castle bonus, the Mine hit me and i lost well over 1100 G.

Hmm.. "Teleport""Word of Recall" + "Mine" in Dunnan. Or "Old Willow" + "Mine".

This is probably pretty simple, but I can't get enough of the Cerberus + Storm Seeker. If you're on offense, you're dropping 160 points of damage, without support... and that's enough to drop about any nasty creature.
Just be sure the other guy doesn't have first strike... or one of those damn bottles that negates your attack.

Amendment to my earlier post - Cait Sith cannot have ANY spells (good or bad) cast on it...

This is probably pretty simple, but I can't get enough of the Cerberus + Storm Seeker. I take it that you mean "Storm Causer", right? Just trying to help....

Amendment to my earlier post - Cait Sith cannot have ANY spells (good or bad) cast on it... Can't believe I didn't spot that before myself. D'oh. However, you could still use Mass Growth to increase Cait Sith's HP (along with everyone else's). That would also make it less vulnerable to mass-damage spells as well.

Najaran uses a similar combo to #1 on tmn's list, except she casts weakness on your creature on high level lands then uses Lunatic Hare when she lands on it.
