Just to clarify something that is relevant to medal hunting and is incorrect in the ExMortis guide. The maps that you earn from 5, 20, 35, and 50 medals are not fixed. Instead, I am fairly certain that it works this way:
05 medals: 5 random maps between numbers 21 - 30
20 medals: The remaining 5 maps between numbers 21 - 30
35 medals: 5 random maps between numbers 31 - 40
50 medals: The remaining 5 maps between numbers 31 - 40

Yes, I got the Thor's Hammer group after I got 5 medals, so I also believe you get a random set of 5 maps. The set matched his set that he got on the 20 medal set of maps, so I'm assuming that there are 4 sets of 5 maps to unlock, rather than 5 random maps each time.

That may be right, but let's try to figure this out for sure. The numbers appear random (it's not 21-25/26-30 etc.), but they could be fixed collections that are awarded randomly and are just strangely numbered. I don't remember which of maps 21-30 I got from which medal count. But here are the maps I earned from 35 medals: 31: Roca 32: Sneph 37: Gilman Island 38: Bisteam 39: Nabath Please post which maps you earned at which medal count so we can compare notes and figure out exactly how this works.  |

I just started medal hunting, so I'm currently at 10 medals. The extra maps that I have thus far:
21: Thor's Hammer
22: The Shuriken!
25: Dancing Doll
27: Humongous
29: KARAFURA
I believe it's the same set that ExMortis has in his FAQ after he achieved 20 medals.

I'm only at 8 so far, but at 5 I got:

EDIT: Up to 35 now. At 20 (or wherever) I got:

At 35:

37: Gilman Island
39: Nabath
EDIT 2: It's pretty obvious what I got at 50, but for the record:

34: Gosa
36: Talio
38: Bisteam
40: Dark Abyss

I only have 49 medals (dang Victors Among Victors) and I definitely don't have Bisteam or Nabath.
