Note: This is my FIRST post here at the Culdcept Forum. I won my PS2 Culdcept game through NewType magazine and am so grateful that I did!!
Okay, someone had noted that the medal #37 'Administrator of Fertility' could be had by "METHOD 2: When you win, one complete set of elemental lands (ie. all Earth) must be level 5." And "METHOD 1: Raise one land of each element to level 5."
Well, I can say that method #2 DOES NOT WORK.
Tonight I matched Gemmory on map #21, Thor's Hammer. I set the Magic goal @ 42K and attempted the to get the medal Destroyer of Articles. I did manager to get that medal, but also tried for the medal Administrator of Fertility while I was at it. I used 'method 2' as listed above but to no avail! I had 15 wind territories all at level 5. There was no empty wind territory and no other creature (either of mine or Gemmory's) on the map. And, there were no vacated territories with invested value. [Incidentally, I somehow obtained 'Roar of the Butcher' medal too.] Any help here please??!!
[glow=red,2,300]TEXT[/glow]Info: I have 29 medals, with 21 more to go. I have 1450+ cards. I am missing the full regular set by 28 cards. Of the missing: 0 Neutral Creatures 2 Fire (RED) Creatures 2 Water (BLUE) Creatures 5 Earth (GREEN) Creatures 1 Wind (YELLOW) Creature 4 Items 14 Spells

I'm pretty much new to the game myself (and new to the boards as well) so I have never heard of the "method 2" which you have described. I can tell you that "Method 1", where you level one of each colored land up to level 5, does work though.

I just got Administrator of Fertility, along with 4 other medals at the same time. If you haven't gotten some of these, try doing what I did.
I went for all of these 4 (and was successful) in one match:
Roaring Fame Administrator of Fertility Destroyer of the Land Fortune Bearer
Because Roaring Fame requires you earn 90,000, you can easily earn several extra medals at the same time, including Administrator. Play Cratos 2 against Mullyn, with infinite rounds and 90k to win. Then just set up shop, and go around making tons of level 5 lands of each type (also good to use Land Protection on them--the little Russian squirrel creature is good for this). When I won, to make sure of Administrator, I had at least 2 of each land type at level 5, and finished with 20 total (the medal will record how many different level 5 territories you had). I also had one neutral level 5 land. I'm not sure if neutral land is needed, but I wasn't taking any chances so I got one of those too. It's possible that this is what you were missing--I'm not totally sure on this point.
Use land transformation to convert a bunch of land to the same element (10 or more), so that you earn Fortune Bearer too. It should be easy in the process of getting to 90k. While waiting around, set up a quake beast too and surround it with level 2 lands, then hit the detonator for the Destroyer medal (if you don't have it yet). There might be one or two other medals you can pile on into this game too. Make the most of the lengthy match.
To hasten the win, I recommend putting an Old Willow and/or Kelpie directly on either side of the castle, so Mullyn can't escape, and you earn massive money rapidly. Be careful of scroll attacks though (Water Shields and Magus Mirrors in inventory are good for protection).
Good luck!

Well, I already have Roaring Fame and Fortune Bearer. Unfortunately, I can't really get Destroyer of land yet because one of the 28 cards left to get in my regular deck is Quake Beast. In fact, the earth cards' stronger creatures elude me. I tried fighting the Story character that only playes Earth. I have a Wind deck that rocks him down to nothing, but I never seem to win Earth cards. Incidentally, I also don't have Holy Word 0 or Evil Blast. So I think that the computer is saving those for the end just to make me pursue them! As for Administrator of Fertility, it appears then that all you need is for AT LEAST ONE level of Earth, Wind, Fire and Water to be raised to level 5. That is, you don't simply have to raise only ONE land of each Element to level 5. [glow=orange,2,300]Can anyone confirm this?[/glow]

I usually control one at least of each land and level them up to about 4 (I usually save my money for other things), but I never got the medal until I had leveled up one of each to level 5. I don't think neutral or the multicolored land count since I did not use a map that had them. I suppose it is possible that it doesn't have to be level 5, but it does seem the safest way to go.

Okay, I am 99% sure that you have to have 1 or more level 5 red, 1 or more level 5 blue, 1 or more level 5 green, and 1 or more level 5 yellow land. I don't think you need neutral, but I suppose there is the off chance that you do, only if there is already neutral ground on the map (but again, I really doubt it).
I can 100% CONFIRM that you can have more than 1 level 5 land of each type. You can have as many as you want. The medal is one of those that lists your best "score" on it, where my personal medal says the most level 5 lands I have had was 20. So, the more, the merrier for this medal. I had about 6 or 7 different level 5 red territories, and about 3 - 4 of each other (and 1 level 5 neutral) when I earned it.

[glow=red,2,300]I FINALLY GOT IT![/glow] I played versus Mullyn on map #22 (Shuriken) and set the goal to 22K. I occupied all at least one land in each of the 4 points on the map so Mullyn would eventually miss many lap bonuses. Also, that map does not have Neutral territory, so Neutral is not necessary for the medal. And yes, the medal does show a 'Best of' indicator, so the "Engrish" translation is just bad on that medal, that is all. Incidentally, I also obtained the medal 'Exiler of Existence' and brought Mullyn's deck to 36 cards before ending that venture. I was awarded the Lightcraft card. 19 more medals to go now. I think my next adventure is going to be 'Emperor of the Desert'.

I won 5 medals in one scourge last night - one of the medals is Administrator of Fertility (has the Corn critter on it). But I'm not exactly sure how I got it.
I took the recent advice somewhere on this board and challenged Mullyn at Cratos 2, using the Kelpie and Old Willow on each side of the castle (great spots, flanking each side!). I had almost every territory built to level 5 while Mullyn kept starting over. EDIT: Thumpasaurus' advice - thank you!
The extra medal I won on top of the 4 named in the advice column (can't recall who posted it until I look again) is Scholar of Magic (or something like that). My replay data was already full and unfortunately, I can't replay that map the same way. Hmm..I didn't get Destroyer of the Land because I didn't even use Quakebeast. Wonder what the other medal was? (will have to check on it). Pretty sure I didn't get Roar of the Butcher, either - but I did win five.
After, I challenged Pickett on the same map, had every territory (all of them) leveled to 5, sent poor Pickett back to Square One up to 90,000 mana game but didn't win any other medals - just thought I'd give it a try.
On another note: Happily, I finally defeated Zeneth a few times the other night using TheTampaCepter's advice on controlling Zeneth's moves better. Not as tough as I first thought - thanks! ;D
Also, I won the last Fire card I needed (Dragon - cool card but Pickett loves to Turn to the Wall!) last night and now have all of the Element awards: Wind, Water, Earth, and Fire.
Has anyone used Polymorph yet? How reliable is that Spell card?

Yes, you cannot save when the games are really long in terms of # of moves. Bummer. Alas, it is more fun to play than watch.
