I thought I'd throw out some book concepts that I've either run across or figured out and messed around with but didn't consider interesting enough. Someone else may like one and run with it and make a good book around it. Cheers if you do.
Here's three to start off with.
Colossi:
The concept is to get a ton of Colossi into play for quick and easy 70/70s that can intrude or be mobile. It's like the super neutral lord book! Key points are to have four Colossi, Conspiracies, and Liquid Forms. The other key is to use a Dragon's Egg to get a colored dragon, all of which cost more than Colossus and will make him free with Conspiracy. You can also opt to include a colored dragon in your book since getting an Armored Dragon with a Dragon's Egg is a total letdown. Fays and Living Creatures work well here. I would also advise against running Dragon Lord as it'll make the Liquid Forms 50/50 over which creature they'll turn into.
PE Factory:
I've mentioned this on posts on culdceptsaga.com. The focus is on making a PE factory and tossing out strong PEs to be used offensively/defensively. Take a PE and boost its MHP with Fat Bodys and Mutations. Spirit Walk it all over or to strategic lands. Use Lunatic Lights to turn it from defensive to offensive. If you can get a bunch out that aren't yet MHP 40 you can use the Desert Storm -> Revolt combo to make them MHP 40. Some good and oft overlooked cards that may work here are Exile and Angry Mask. You can also consider throwing in Sculptures and running Mothman for book versatility.
Smallfries:
Take a bunch of small and cheap creatures and use them innovatively with fun items and spell buffs to keep people on their toes. Goblins, G. Rats, PEs are in! Key points would be to drop the cheapies quick and often. Use Trade and Possession to pick up higher caliber creatures. Protean Rings, Angry Masks, Cursed Seals and Tombstones are excellent choices for items. Mesozoic Song works wonders as does Desert Storm -> Revolt. There are many options one could use to power the book; it's just a fun combo fest. I never got tired of it, I just started to improve and play power concepts and never remade Smallfries. Just remember to use creatures in a Kamikaze fashion, Trade them away, transform them, or beef them up to keep people on their toes. Don't forget to include one or two powerhouses and maybe a Reflect or two.
