Hello all!
In an effort to push through the single player campaign and hit up multiplayer I would like to construct an effective AI deck. I dont mind if this takes advantage of game mechanics that the AI is weak against. Does anyone have any thoughts on which cards or type of cards would be good for this purpose? I am new to Culdcept but not CCG so I do understand the concepts.
Thanks a lot.

Playing the AI is all about a Kelpie book. You should hold off on story until you have 2 or 3 Kelpies. Then you'll want to build a book taking advantage of him. Kelpie + Fistfight is the combo I used back when I played story. Simulacrum or Reflection work well, but they are pegged as "harmful" to the CPU while Fistfight is considered "neutral". Basically, since it's neutral the CPU will almost never override the curse of Fistfight. Throw Fat Body in your book just in case you get Kelpie out early and they have a beefy High Printed ST card like Colossus.
So the best way to run this book is to just hold onto Kelpie until you establish a lv 4 or 5 land that he can hold. At land lv4 and base HP few things short of Colossus or Lords will beat him in one fight. I think Beast Gear is the only creature with 80ST to kill a lv5 K+FF combo in one hit and the CPU doesn't make them. You can use creatures like Rock Shell (for Peace), Charon, Mirage, or Wall of Ice to hold a blue land until you level it up for Kelpie. Make sure you have Telegnosis or Revelation (or even Teleport or Word of Recall) so you can exchange for Kelpie before it's too late. I suggest Counter Amulet and Petrify Stone to help protect creatures.

He's right but beware of scrolls. They come for Kelpie with them. Also telekinesis is often used to just toss you off of land. Land protection seemed effective against the AI for this and against scrolls their is a shield impervious to them. Usually though if you have a water shield in your hand the AI just gives up and pays no matter what for me. Good luck.
