It took a while but I finally beat the game. Now what is next? Do I continue Story mode to unlock all the hidden characters and E cards? Or do I get those by playing past stages? Also is it possible to have my game data on my hard drive and memory card at the same time? I saw in the instructions that it moves over the data instead of copying it. Thanks in advance.

Since you've finished the game you can load your save and start a new game from within it. Note, this is NOT starting a new game from the title screen which will erase all of your data. Starting this way will allow you to choose the new character models.
I would recommend you replay old stages and get the E-cards first. Once you start a new game you lose all of your previous stages.
Yes, you can copy a save to a memory card. I do so incase a disaster happens which would be catastrophic with the time I've put into the game.

Thank you very much for the response TopCat, this may have saved me a lot of grief. I was going to start from the title screen using one of the new character models but I sort of remember a post on this forum about doing this. Do you know what stages give the E cards? Where do you play to unlock characters from previous games? The instruction booklet is kind of misleading about saving then, I am glad that I will be able to back up my progress.

Lalasatti gave me Nil, which is a really cool card. I wonder if you unlock something for beating each of the past stages? I will make a list as I complete them.

I had all of the E-card conditions posted on my card FAQ but I took them away because they were too long. Here they are. Oh, keep in mind this is from memory so I may have mixed up some names.
Zeromn: Obtain all cards Terrair: Obtain all Yellow creatures Iksear: Obtain all Blue creatures. Selenear: Obtain all Green creatures. Bistair: Obtain all Red creatures. Nil: Replay the stage where you first fight the new Rilara. Lala City, I think. Leoknight: Replay the stage where you fight the double-headed snake. Culdra Blade: Replay the last stage (I'm almost certain).
Characters:
Goligan: Replay the snow stage where you fought the chick with the butt and the scythe. I think you also fight the hermit there.
Najaran: Replay the stage that is an inner square and an outer square. I think it's called Zanadol or something like that.
Zenith: Replay the stage with the five square areas though the whole map is considered one area. I can't ever remember the name of this stage but the description should make it easy.

Thanks again TopCat! I was able to unlock all the characters and E cards with that information. One last question, "Once you start a new game you lose all of your previous stages." Do you know if this removes them from Versus mode too? If not then I will probably just play one match so my character's avatar changes.

Do you know if this removes them from Versus mode too? If not then I will probably just play one match so my character's avatar changes. It just means that you can no longer replay past stages as they are all erased. You can use all of the maps in online or local versus, though.

Do you have to beat the game to get the Fated Traveller achievment? I'm on my first run through, up to Omengald, and I went back to Santana (where I beat Goligan), Mt Dinar (where I beat Najaran), and the cypts between trial II and trial III, (where I beat Zenith), but no achievement appeared. Any ideas?

I'd say almost for sure you'd have to, since you don't meet Ancient God Baltias until the last battle of Story Mode.

Yep, I finished the game, and sure enough, the achievement popped up. It seems like if you randomly try different stages, you have a chance of meeting the other characters, since I met them in different places than others have in the past.
