Quite excellent news. I'm quite sure it won't link with Saga in terms of cards and such, which is a shame. I just don't think I can go through earning cards and such again, though I'm quite certain I'll be picking this game up the moment it hits.

I'll probably import it for sure and possibly pick up the US version if they actually localize it. It'll give me a reason to sit at those WiFi spots I see everywhere to eat some food and get some Culdcept on with people from around the world. Thanks for the heads up Lizardman - much appreciated!
Oh, almost forgot, it seems/sounds like they are taking it 'back to it's roots' . . does this mean it's going to be a remake of Culdcept for the Saturn? Questions;Questions.

Sounds like you are right Kuroi, it will be called Culdcept DS instead of Culdcept Saga DS. I goofed on that part, still this is great news. I wonder if this will be based on the first Culdcept or the second one?

Okay ...this year is going to be awesome .
I can FINALLY play a translated version of the original culdcept by getting a culdcept ds copy this year.
First saga...now ds.

So I used babelfish to take a look, very awesome it comes to the DS...
But unless a US/English version comes out, not particularly useful to me =b
But wow if it does I'll have culdcept on my 360 and eventually my DS as well!
And yeah that would rock incredibly hard =D

Sorry for having to ask this question, but can anyone tell me how I can install the necessary components in Internet Explorer to view the type of page that Lizardman linked to above? On my screen, I mainly see square boxes, and IE automatically selects "Japanese (Shift-JIS)" encoding to display the page.
I would be most grateful if anyone out there could tell me how I could view these sorts of sites in English! Thanks in advance for your help!

I am pretty sure that most of the cards in the FAQ I am posting below will be included. I have the original Culdcept for Sega Saturn and it is a lot of fun to play. I found out the card list I posted earlier is not complete. So far there are only 183 cards in that list and Armed Gear, Barong, and Mychoron are the only new cards listed so far. I find it funny they say the image is from the ps2 version - that's clearly the 360 saga version
Interesting it'll be based on the PS2 game and rules from Dreamcast's Culdcept Second...
Different rules and easier? Can anyone comment regarding that game/tidbit?
