I'm guessing I need to get summons/items to counter, but these guys can cause some real havok, especially the bandit where he can use creatures as items.. yikes!
I wasted a fair bit vs all of these on principal, I've also seen the comp use territory move to bash these annoyances into other culdcept territories - with a plan to lose the overall fight.. they dont want to take over/vacate their current land, just rob you of all the $ they collect.. and there is no loss to toll, you didnt land on the spot..
I'll do some searches/looking and I'll be tailoring my deck, but basically I had to avoid them like the plague (especially when I couldnt get my dang 20hp dmg zapper out to knock a particular bandit on its butt)
finally growth/shrink/vitality.. havent gotten any of those yet meanwhile I get two rare beezlebubs? lol.. anyways I imagine I'll get some of these cards too?
cheers CKaz

Counter Amulets, Gaseous Forms, Elemental Shields- anything that prevents the attack from going through will deactivate the bonus money stealing attack. It's also a good idea to know how they all work. Will-O-the-Wisp has last attack and will take x2 of how much energy it has at the battle's conclusion, so if you kill it with your attack, you won't lose money and if it's used in a move ability, it loses the HP Land bonus making it much easier to kill.
The Amazon takes 50G for every lap as long as an item is not used so. Any blue countering/destroying item will work and it's also a great idea to take it out if you can in the beginning as the money taken will increase every lap.
The Bandit is deadly at only 20 20 with the annoying SUPPORT ability and he takes 2x whatever damage he gives upon contact. Stink Bottle works wonders as does any nullification item or if you can use a strong item to take him out. The good thing is that if the Bandit happens to take money and your creature, it never has a long shelf life- with a measly 20HP and no chance of a land bonus (Ryvern doesn't play with Camouflauge) Magic Bolt, Banishing Ray and any simply creature can take it out efficiently.
The other thing to consider is the Cepters that utilize these creatures- Ryvern uses the Will-O-the Wisp and the Bandit both and is also one of the most annoying cepters. Most of the other cepters don't use these creatures so you won't find this to be a vicious problem.

Everything WhoseYerLilith wrote is spot on for defending against gold diggers, but on the flip side, I've played decks geared toward stealing money. Load up with Bandits, Bandit Gloves, Parasite, Drain Magic, etc and give the comp a taste of it's own medicine . It's actually a fairly tough deck to play, but it's fun. One of my favored tactics is to use a Will o the Wisp and Mutate him up to around 80 HP if he's close to another creature. Then I paralyse the enemy creature and after that, every chance I get I move the Will o the Wisp over to get free gold. It works like a champ in story mode where gold can be tight and mean the difference between victory and defeat.

Hell Yeah- Money stealing decks are some of the most evilly fun decks to play with. Rather than build up lands and take tolls, you just f**k your opponent at every oppertunity just like Chingis wrote- On top of Will-O-the-Wisp, Amazon, Bandit, Bandit Glove and Parasite, I also throw in Drain Magics, Witches, Pains and Tortures (use it on Mullyn in Quanze and the fun never stops- she'll continuously become Magic Depleted and get sent back to the castle, but the Torture effect won't be nullified due to a Magic Depletion, so the fun starts all over again!)
