For those interested in the mythology behind the creatures of Culdcept, check out "The Book of Imaginary Beings" by Jorge Luis Borges. This book contains the history and origin of an astonishing number of Culdcept creatures, everyone from Baldanders and Behemoth to Squonk and T'ao T'ieh. Even the author himself has a creature card named after him (Borgess)!
Look for it at used bookstores. You should be able to find it pretty cheap.
