Scythe of Insanity "Take land from enemies on more than 20 times."
Solid Defense "Protect land from invasion for more than 20 times."
How, exactly, do these work? Is it 20 times over the course of the whole game, counting all lands? Or is there more to it? I can't believe that with how many matches I've played that I haven't got one of these suckers yet.
I assume you need to actually enter combat and take/protect their/your lands at least 20 times over the course of the match. Any pointers on getting these two? I suppose for the defense one you'd want to play against somebody like Zagol who will invade whether he can win or not and just try to lure him into your territories. Sounds hard.

You have it right, and yeah, they're kind of a pain. Definitely Zagol for Solid Defense.
Just have some paper handy and tally the successful fights.

For Scythe of Insanity you might want to try a deck with high ST creatures on a map with long chunks of areas to move in. Just move your creatures around as much as possible.

I actually got Solid Defense by accident. I was working on another medal (maybe Idols, not sure), and had Zagol trapped at the Castle with level 5 Old Willows on either side of him. ;D

Culd- I was as surprised as you were that after all of the battles I did not have either of these medals- you'd be surprised at how little invading there really is. Solid Defense I got fighting Zagol. I was trying to get a few medals- I played to 90,000- got a 10 chain land, a LV 5 of each color, a toll of more than 3,000 and killed 10 creatures at once- I was shocked to see at the end that after that huge 4 hour match, I only invaded 17 times. What I found worked really well for Scythe of Insanity was starting the game from the beginning and fighting Ryvern in Dunnan again- his deck is littered with Kobolds, Dragonfly's, Giant Rats, Wolves, Goblins, Giant Bats and Merfolk- he always has a lot of creatures and always takes a territory- whenever I passed one of my creatures or landed on one of his- I always attacked. The only defense item he has is the +20HP (Leather Armor?) So with your advanced cards- its a joke. A word of advice though is to not level up lands as the match is only set to 5000 and you don't want to win to fast. At the end I invaded his land 37 times.
