This ends here and now. I will NOT let this forum degrade itself into an immature name calling, he said - she said mess. While you have the right to state that you think a particular person's ideas or theories on the game are wrong, you do NOT have the right to personally attack a particular person. Point out the flaws in the ideas, not in the person. Please respect this ban on personal attacks. We have survived so far without them, I don't see why we can't continue to do so.

Actually, Captain Garak may have a very good point. I basically use Evil Blast for the most part to kill off my enemies' creatures. And when I grab the land after, it's back to level 1. Now, there's a couple of things I thought up...
1. Evil Blast, when successful in killing a creature, reverts the land to level 1.
2. When you do enough EXTRA damage over the creature's HP, the land reverts to level 1.
I know the second case happens a lot, cause I'll blast a creature down to 10ish HP, then blast them again to kill them.

We just sat down and ran this test. Evil Blast doesn't revert a levelled up land to 1, nor does overkill. Probably the highest amount of direct damage overkill you could POSSIBLY come up with is Tetramorph to Living Sword - 50 damage to 1 HP. The land remained levelled up.

Then check the creature that is being blasted. I've seen several creatures that have game text concerning "if this creature is killed by spell or teratory ability...." Those of you with all creatures let us know if there are any that say that the land will return to lvl 1.

I have all the creatures and none of them say that. Leveller lowers the land by 1 level if it isn't yellow, but that's a combat thing anyway.

Anyways, to get back to the original topic....does anyone have any advice on how to get this medal? It's one of the few I don't have and it sounds pretty tough. I'm guessing Meteors, Locust Swarms, Land Transfers and the such. Still, you have to have all lvl 1 lands at the right time to cross the castle and win the game. Perhaps the criss-crossed tic-tac-toe looking map (can't recall the name) would be best for this?

I just got this one the other day and I found doing it at dunnan to be the best because of the fast lapping. I also played it against Mullyn(possible misspell). I used a version of the cataclysm deck on here that i found and that worked well enough for me. I got this medal and the medal for winning with no creatures or symbols at the same time. Hope this helps. I now sit at having 49 medals so if you have any other questions feel free to PM.

This medal is not hard to get at all. Besides having lvl lowering spells in your deck, you should also have spells that slows your opponent down and those that make you lap like crazy. If i remember correctly, i also went w/ Mullyn, and she only lvls up blue lands, so you should also have spells like Evil Blast and Magic Bolt to destroy her creatures on blue lands.
Like SotL, i also got the medal for book w/o creatures, and additionally i got the one for no symbols or lands too, so i got 3 medals in one game. Dunnan is indeed the best, and set the round limit to 30, so you can win by time out. I'm still missing 4 medals (100 victorys, opponent has less than 40 cards, take opponent's land 20 times or more, and gain 3000 G in symbols w/o a temple). The 1st 3 are straight forward but time consuming, the last one is the one giving me a headache cause its gonna take like forever using Sanctum Guard/Coin of Piety.

I hadn't thought about playing w/ a time limit - I normally set it to infinity. That'll make things MUCH easier. As far as blowing up her creatures, the land will still remain levelled, which I believe (not certain) would prevent me from getting the medal. I'll take your advice and get that medal tonight...

Obviously i meant destroying the creatures on blue land before she gets to lvl it up, since she will only lvl up those.

I must add that destroying her creatures on blue lands before she lvls up is infinitely better than just lowering the lvls especially if you only have 1 or 2 Meteors like i did. Lowering the lvl is only good till her next lap or reaches a fort or castle, then she will lvl up again. By destroying the creature, not only will you prevent her from leveling up, you also prevent her from summoning creatures that have a blue land req. The only way she can lvl up is to place a creature on a blue land again (you can try using Holy Words to prevent this but might make her lap faster) or waste 300 G converting a land of another element.

Thanks again.
PS. Message boards are just text - nothing is obvious.

I dunno, I thought my technique was pretty simple...
Simply use an old willow and get it on a level 5 land. Try and get as many red squares as possible as well. (Level one, of course.) After your opponent hits the willow 2 or 3 times he or she should be broke, meaning he or she sold off all their leveled-up lands. Now simply cast land transfer on your willow before you pass the castle.

There are always many different ways to get a medal, and it also depends on what cards you have. For me the pure spell deck worked great, how else can you get at least 3 medals in a round 30 game. Minimum time, maiximum gain, now that's what i'm talking about!

If you look in the decks listed in another part of this board you'll find the torture deck that keeps people from lapping. I used this against Luthien on Kazetaga to get the medal and not a single land during the game was levelled up. It would not have mattered if she did either as she was g drained once or twice as well.
