Last night I managed to snag four medals at the same time. I was going for Chief of the Extraordinare (use only S-rated cards, win with 10000+ G) when I noticed that one of my S cards was the Marble Idol (while it's in play, a creature can't be summoned if there's already another copy of that creature somewhere on the board). So I decided in addition to using only S cards, I would turn the Marble Idol's ability to my advantage and only put one of each card in my deck. That way I could get the Stone of the One and Only as well as the other medal.
I played against Mullyn, and picked Cratos 2 to play on. At first I thought that picking that board was a big mistake, since it was taking so long to get anywhere, but it turned out to be a valuable part of my strategy. Since Mullyn is naturally non-confrontational, and the board criscrosses so much, enounters between our creatures were rare. The wide play area allowed us to basically mind our own business, tending mostly to our own territories and ignoring each others', and this was critical.
The bombshell came when I dropped my Marble Idol on the board. (Of considerable note is that I placed to Idol on the side of the board where I knew it wouldn't get a great deal of Mullyn traffic, keeping it relatively safe from attack.) Soon Mullyn had played all of the creatures he had in his deck (or I had since I was using some blue). As I had a much greater diversity of cards, I could still use creatures, but he was practically crippled. All I had to do was maneuver myself around his spaces, which was easy on that map, thereby keeping his creatures alive and preventing him from using anything new.
At that point, it was a simple matter to earn a long chain, earning me the Fortune Bearer (win with 10+ chain). And much to my surprise I also won the Voice of the Sandman for never having to pay a toll, which I hadn't even realized I'd done.
