Unagi: I must admit, I haven't visited in a while. I haven't played Culdcept for a while, either, which is probably why I haven't visited lately. But, per your request - Here's my post!

Still here. I've played recently. Just got all the blue creatures, in fact. I don't play as religiously as I used to, but now that I've got my girlfriend into the game, we pop it in occasionally. I'm still glad I found this game and this forum. It introduced me to Disgaea too. :-) (Thank you, Garak)

I still have fond memories of Culdcept, and of the friends I made on this board. Now that I've activated a bunch of new members, perhaps we'll experience a resurgence of interest!

Culdcept is an old game. It didn't fly off the shelves when it was new and you don't see anyone rushing to make Culdcept III.
It's too bad. There's a lot of potential for Culdcept III. I am sick to death of playing against the computer AI. It's frustrating because the AI is so limited on strategy. There are some things it does well, like predict where it is going to land, but there are a lot of things it sucks at.
Curse those idiots who actually removed online play from the American version of Culdcept!!!! This forum would be hopping if you could play each other online like in the Japanese version of the game.

Culdcept would be an awesome game for a handheld. That would rule!
My wife and I just picked the game back up and are loving it again. I think there is one way to get interest in this game going again, expecially for friends around you. If you know someone that has a PS2, go and buy the game for them and give it to them as a gift. Hopefully they will get hooked and start building their deck and there you go, you now have someone to play against. Planning on doing this with some friends, once I can get the extra funds. I guess you could even let them know if they don't like the game to pass it back to you to give it to someone else that may.

Ironically, Brian, this is what I did myself. I bought 2 extra copies of Culdcept (brand new mind you) from EB back in the day at 9.99 a pop. It's fairly cheap now online, so you can get your friends into it easier.
