Hey Gang,
Newbie to the game and a little confused as to what is public and what is private knowledge in this game. I get to see every card the AI draws, even get flashes of his hand every so often, but can't figure out how to look at it for a more prolonged period of time (sorry, as a newbie I can't instantly decipher what the various card pictures are I just saw flashed at me.
Am I missing something obvious here?

LOL- Its the initiation rite we must all pass through- I spent like 25 minutes trying to figure out how to look at the opponents hand to absolutely no avail- there are measures you can use, like casting the spell "Shatter" that will let you take a look through the opponents current hand, but other than that- despite that original glimpse, and the other brief sights you get in battle or when the opponent can place a creature there are no other ways to see the opponents hand- the first thing youll start to notice is the difference between creatures, items and spells, secondly after playing the game for a while, you'll start being able to recognize all cards on site- especially since almost all of the enemy cepters seem to play with pretty much the same cards with a few variations (with the possible exception of Ryvern and Goligan who have multiple types of decks)- just be patient, its something we all have to go through and just wait until you start encountering enemy creatures like "Lilith", "Gooba Queen", the boosters, etc, etc- thats what were all hear for!

Fair enough!
I just didn't want to find out months later I was the ONLY ONE who didn't know it was some silly "Press R1 + L1 simultaneously" type thing.
I just got to use a Gooba Queen for the first time and, dang, that is one POTENT little beasty! Claiming up territory like nobody's business which you can just exchange with real creatures when a more convenient time comes around (and even then you have this incredibly cheap little beasty in your hand you cna use somewhere else to stake a claim)!

Yeah and one of the best parts is that most enemy cepters will not attack your creature if you have a defensive item in your hand so you can even keep the goobas out and simply have one gaseous form/counter amulet/green shield/diamond armor in your hand and the enemies wont even bother it- this of course doesnt apply to Ryvern, Zagol and the occasional recklessness of Leo and Balberit.
