My girlfriend routinely beats me despite the fact that I've played the game more. Enough said.

Heh. maybe she has gotten a rare card thats helping her win a lot. One or two cards can be a huge factor in this game.

I had the same thing happen to me with Mario Golf. I played it constantly for 2 weeks. My girlfriend playes me the first time in her life and beats me. badly. It's the rule of life. You play your girlfriend in a video game they win. Not only do they ruin your video game fun, but during your shame you than realize you are going to have to do something they wanna do, just because they did something you wanted to do by playing video games with you. Or even worse was when I came home from work and could not play any games because my girlfriend was playing them.
It's best just to keep your chic away from your personal hobbies. It may sound like a good idea to get her involved. It is not. Not only will she ruin your hobby but expect you to participate in hers.

Luckily my fiancee and I are both avid video game enthusiasts- we have fun playing most games together, though right now its a war between him wanting to play Ninja Gaiden and me wanting to play Culdcept- so its not altogether a bad idea to get your romantic partner involved...

Yeah, the problem is though that Mario Golf is not nearly as much a game of luck as Culdcept is. No novice should ever beat you at Mario Golf ever. ;D
