This could be for either vs Player or CPU I guess, but I thought that I would put it here:
None the less, I am still learning some tactics for this game. I am having some difficulty with figuring out how to keep my Territory [X] which have low HP/ST (e.g., Book worms, the imps, the sheep bush thing) alive while I make a rotation of some of the larger boards or how long to keep it on the board.
1) What are some good techniques for placing these. Do you place them on low level lands and just hope you rotate? Or do you put them on high level lands of the same color so that they are more defended? In the first situation I don't have to worry about giving up an expensive land space, but I have no chance of winning a battle (unless I have a good card). In the later I have a better defence yet it is still lower than most.
2) How long do I leave them on the board? Unless it is the only card that I pass/land on, there are usually other things to do with may cards (e.g. leveling up, transforming, using powers). If I have to: put down a card, go around the board, use card, go around again, exchange card, all just to destroy one card from the target ceptors deck... this seems a bit much.
I am really unsure of the tactics for these kinds of cards. Any help would be much appreciated.

I try not to place high ST cards on lands unless forced (prefering defense, i.e. HP, instead). I try to save the high ST for taking land, especially late game with higher level lands out there.
But with lower HP creatures, I use them to claim land, but try not to level it up until I can put a better HP creature of the same element type (or a good neutral creature and Chameleon spell). If I can't do that (say I don't have any good HP green creatures for a green land, but have a Wall of Ice) I'll swap creature for the Wall of Ice, and then turn the land to blue ASAP.
Basically, I don't like leveling up lands with low HP creatures because the land HP bonus doesn't count yet (only in battle). If a creature has 20 HP, and is hit by a Magic Bolt spell - it's dead and I lose control. Also, if somehow it's injured but still alive, it heals slowly because you get 20% of MAX HP when you lap back. 20% of 20 HP is only 4 HP so if it's near death, you have a hard time healing the creature without using a spell like Cure or swaping him for another creature anyway.
