I got mine doing a 3 on 1 battle. Though I put both ways (3 on 1 or solo) in my FAQ, because different ways seem to work for different people.

To the best of my knowledge, no one but you has ever claimed to have gotten this medal outside of a 1-on-1 fight.

Well, myself and my friends who helped me find out how to get the medals. But if you notice, that's why I included two methods of earning that medal. One way by doing it solo, the other by doing it with an alliance. So if one doesn't work, try the other. But my friends and I didn't have much of a problem with it.

I guess I should be more clear, especially since we have a lot of new members who might be new to the game (and these boards the last few months). If you value your time, don't listen to Lord Blade's descriptions (on a board or his FAQ) of how to get medals. Either check a different FAQ or just ask on the board and someone (besides him) will tell you.

For me, I won this medal by fighting Goligan in Story Mode which he uses the Practice deck...
I put a Kelpie in my deck n use it as my main attack power... then I save my money in order to level up my Kelpie... I can prove that if u have a armor card (any card will do) in ur hand, he will nvr try to attack ur Kelpie... if ur Kelpie is level 5, its toll will be around 1000 or something... so if Goligan step on it 3 times, I think u will have enough Total Magic to win the battle...
I use some Holy Word 6, the speed up card (let the player's dice be 6-8 for 2 rounds) and Fly to make Goligan past the map faster to hit my Kelpie... damn cruel, is it??? I can only say sorry to Goligan... ^_^ ...

Also, and i feel kinda wrong about it, zagol has no spells or scrolls (that i've ever seen) in his deck, so kelpie/old willow and simulacrum is invincible against him. get it out and start using your hastes on zagol to force him into it. only problem is, if you get it set up but the land isn't lvled, he will attack it just to make you pay 3*damage in g's. so don't get it set up until it is atleast lvl 3 or you will get yourself in a loop.

Holy word zero, 2, and 1 and tagging the chain as high as posible did it for me. I was done in 15 rounds. I got hella lucky and nailed Golian on 3 plains lands and had my Leo Knight out too LOL.

FINALLY got this one (and only four to go for all 50) against Mullyn on Dunnan! The key seems to be develop a few unbeatable territories to a very high level, and pray to Goddess that your opponent lands on them. You should also keep in mind that leveling up a land levels up your total G (the number used to determine if you've met the map's victory conditions). My deck was:
4 Decoy 1 Iron Idol (didn't even use it, though) 4 Wonder Wall 3 Pillar of Flame 4 Wall of Ice 3 Wall of Stone 3 Hurricane 1 Drain Magic 2 Feast 1 Find 3 Fire Explosion (VERY helpful) 1 Holy Word 0, 1, and 2 2 Holy Word 6 4 Holy Word X (also very helpful) 2 Magic Bolt 3 Peace 2 Rust 3 Shatter 2 Wind of Hope
I got pretty lucky; the first three rounds, Mullyn had no creature cards in hand. She did then place something on water, which allowed her to place her other creatures with land requirements, but after two well-timed Fire Explosions, she didn't own any water territories anymore, and wasn't able to cast most of the creatures she drew. What absolutely won this was that she landed on EACH of my three 500G+ territories - that NEVER happens! - and not only did all that good G go to me, but she had to release all her lands each time. I'd consider myself pretty lucky on this one - I built two other decks centered around the neutral territories and quick laps of the Alchemist Lab map, but after three tries each gave up and tried this one. Won after four tries. You can dew eet!

did you consider stuff like quicksand? (it's been awhile so forgive me if I got the name wrong) unless your opponent is a dispeller that might work pretty well, done at the right time
edit - bit goofier and more limited than I thought (including its willingness to snag yourself lol :b) now targeting it with my 'speed deck' I got a few games won in 20-22 rounds lmao... ugh...
I've went neutral and mixed colors... well back to it...!
