I love packing my deck with spells like Upheaval and Weathering. Not only is it cheaper to land change your own (outside of neutral and multi-lands), but nothing warms my heart more than to wait for the AI to get level 4 or 5 land and swap it out from underneath him - leaving him with a defenseless creature that he's already paid 1,000 G or so for and has to pay at least 500 G to recoup again.

Mr. Neg is right. Both of those reasons are why I use these cards a lot. Don't forget that you can also play them to help your AI opponent's creatures match their land color. If you play with a character who lays down creatures haphazardly, you can help keep your combined chains a little more secure.
