I have no idea why Counter Amulet isn't up there yet. Sure, it costs 100G, but it saves your creature 99% of the time, and you can use it in offensive use, AND if can kill your opponents creatures easily, AND because it's an amulet, you can use it with almost any creature. Personally, I have 3 or 4 in every deck I make, with several exceptions for combo-based decks. The best item in the game by far, in my opinion.

I gotta agree with you there. Everything you said is true. I suppose the only drawback is that it costs so much. Early in the game it sucks to have 2 or 3 in your hand because you might not have the cash to use it. I try to keep 4 of these in any deck I have, with rare exceptions. But this is a very good card to have for defense.

Well, the cost isn't the ONLY drawback. Scrolls still get through it. But I still think it will save your creature more often then any other item in the game.
Another point. If you compare it to Gaseous Foam, then for 30G more, you get to have a decent chance of killing the creature.

Well, I agree with the counter amulet, I try to keep 4 in my deck. It is expensive, so early in a bout it isn't that good to have, but I try to compensate with a few shields. But I like these cards.

Frankly, I prefer the Spike Shield to the Counter Amulet. In many cases when I'm defending a strong territory, the Bonus HP nearly equals the actual HP of my creature, and since the computer USUALLY hits me for just enough damage, the Spike Shield starts reflecting the damage just after the bonus HP is shattered AND my creature still gets to attack.
The Spike Shield has the same weaknesses as the Counter Amulet, it still usually results in the death of the attacker, AND it's 40G cheaper.
The main caveats are that the Shield is Armor and the Amulet is an Accessory/Tool, plus the Shield is much less useful for creatures without much strength. One doesn't render the other obsolete, but the Spike Shield just seems more useful to me and how I play.

Talisman
Negates all but scroll attack, but if they do use a scroll, the Talisman will destroy it, and then you get land protected afterward.
