The actual cards aren't all that good, but it reminded me of Transformers, and that's enough!

LOL, i was wondering how you used them when I saw these posted. I have had nothing but bad experiences using these cards. My buddy has them and likes them because of the same reason as you

It's funny that you should mention Transformers. I was playing a game yesterday and summoned Alpha to take out a Lizardman on a water square with Beta in tow. After the Bundlegear won, I looked at him stomping around on the blue territory and was reminded of the Tidal Wave boss fight from the Transformers game; they both even use sustained red lasers to attack. By the way, if you haven't tried the Transformers game, I'd recommend it for purchase to any action/shooter fans.

Actually....I think Battle Gear Alpha and Beta can be great cards when implemented wisely in a support oriented deck. And not just because I LOVE the Transformers. Battle Gear Alpha: This card is the strongest attack support card (40 strength) out the box. Other than Valkyria, which is dependent on getting a couple of battles under your belt and a land requirement, you won't find a more dominant attacking support creature. It's low hitpoints are a weakness, but since the character is untargetable by spells and territory abilities it is blast proof. ** Beware of Gremlins. Their "destroy item" abilities make Battle Gear Alphas easy prey as they have just enough strength to kill this guy without the use of any weapon or accessory. Again I stress that this is an attacking creature so the thought is to kill, buy yourself some time with the "untargetable" protection and swap out. Further defense can be had by having a Borgess card in play and holding armor that ignores the destroy item effect. Battle Gear Beta: This is the best defensive support creature out of the box based on Hit Points (40). The key to this card is its ability to neutralize a scroll attack. With a camoflauge card/ability, borgess, growth spells and armor/creature support card ...you aren't going to knock this guy out. **Unless of course you come across a Cleric. Then all bets are off. LOL! (Clerics have an 80% instant death to neutral creature ability) But hey, you run into the same obstacle with an Old Willow when it comes across a Yeti. ...but they have to hit you first for the "death" effect to initiate. Just keep a counter amulet handy or you're toast. Now I have to say that most times I find the Battle Gear Alpha the most effective of the two cards as it is a powerful offensive creature against most decks in the beginning of the game. No Land requirement. Low G requirement. No Card sacrifice requirement. Although there are many counters for the brute force of this card, (ie. counter amulets, and item destruct cards) this card normally wins out as decks are usually more creature heavy than item intensive. The 40 damage to start is likely enough to give an edge in most battles. Battle Gear Beta is probably used best as a primer for BundleGear, but I guess the same arguement can be made defensively as they are hard to destroy early in the game and get progressively more difficult as time goes on. One thing I haven't tried is to summon a Battle Gear Beta, cast camoflauge, then while in battle transform (using Battle Gear Alpha) to BundleGear. Does the Camoflauge spell stay in effect? If so, you could possibly have a 60st/70hp character with land effects that is untargetable by spells/territory abilities, no armor/ring restrictions, and neutralizes all scroll attacks. WOW!!! Now that's a BAD MF! Anyone tried this?
