I had no idea such a forum existed, or that people are posting still. I've been playing culdcept off an on for over a year(more off than on), but I've been dusting off my cards and now that I found out about Saga, I'm getting really pumped! I can't wait to chat to you guys about Culdcept, and trust me, this board is going to be growing the closer to the launch of CS we get.

I agree, the ps3 would have been the best choice, plus it could've used backward compatibilty for the ps2 version! All that work to get all the medals, all the cards..etc. I still play this game religously and still cannot be beaten...

Yeah, but if it was on PS3 we would probably have to wait another year or so. However, I do like the idea of having Culdcept on that system.

This site is great. It is done so well and it's high quality. I picked up Culdcept a year or two ago after finding out that it's the top strategy game for the PS2. At first I played it just to get all the cards and eventually the game seemed kind of dull. Then my friend found this site and since then this game is really at another level. I've played Magic the Gathering a lot a lot before but it was always EXPENSIVE!!!!!! That's what it came down to and then what made it lame was POOR DESIGN because they would make cards that they later would realize made the game unfair? How is it fun to lose before you start? That's WHAT MAKES CULDCEPT GREAT is the factor of a game board with a random dice roll. That adds a layer that makes the game not only about which cards you have. You also have to PLAY and PLACE. Add on the fact that it's your own customizable deck that you can then post online and get feedback=one PS2 game purchase. I can't even remember how many hours it's taken to get those medals! All I can say is that this CARD game is the most balanced one I've ever come across. Besides a few cards that are situation specific, every card is worthwhile, works right, has the exact stats it should. I playtest my decks against those posted online and against themselves(call me obsessed I love the mental challenge. ) and the more I do, the more I come across the flawless design patterns. Chess, Magic the Gathering, Pentago, Virtua Fighter 4, just don't cut it. I've tried at least a hundred decks but only after checking this site have I made my favorite decks that totally trashed the rest and what's scary is I know there's still at least I would say "7" ideas not posted online yet! I think there's like 10 or more "super" deck designs that I personally want to figure out just so I can know I mastered whoever came up this game. I can't even comprehend how NEC programmed this game when Sega's AM2 didn't notice in VIRTUA FIGHTER 4 EVO that on certain characters you can hit their hand and they'll get knocked down as if you kicked them in the face (cuz that's what the attack is programmed to do if it makes contact/ but it doesn't gotta be their face?!?)
