Hi, im new and have a few questions.
I have only played a few times, but i get beat fairly easily, is it better to play the earlier levels over a few times to get better cards?
Was there ever a Players Guide made for this game?

If you get beaten easily at first, welcome to the club! It's not easy when you're just starting out and don't have many cards. Just practice and keep doing the earliest levels. The cards you earn there can be put towards stengthening your starter deck or creating a new one.
No players guide as far as I know, at least not in english... but that's what we're here for. If you have any questions, ask away! :-)
Glad you signed up. Tell us where you're from, why you like the game, what kind of deck you play.

Thanks for the quick response, wasn't sure if many people still visited this site. Im from Oregon. I have always like strategy games over most others, i like games that make you think. I also like trying to collect everything in the game. As for what kind of deck i use, i just use what cards i have right now (are there examples of decks listed somewhere). I have had the game for about 2 months now a got frustrated with it when i first started playing, but now that im starting to understand what cards do and when to play them it makes the game A LOT better. Disgaea has been taking up most my gaming time, can't wait for Disgaea 2. Are there any decent FAQS about symbols around, im stil confused a bit bye how they work. Never realized how deep this game actually was. Thanks again, and thank for having me.

Was there ever a Players Guide made for this game? Due to the fact that there really isn't any official Strategy Guide written in English, that's one of the primary reasons this site was created. We wanted to establish a place where players could get together and share strategies, to effectively create a "Strategy Guide" of our own. Your question about Symbols is interesting, as I really don't find a lot written on the site specifically addressing that subject. However, there's a FAQ/Walkthrough by Brian Nii on GameFAQs that contains a brief section on Symbols, so I would recommend that to you. I can't link you directly to the FAQ, but if you go to the GameFAQs "Culdcept FAQs" page, you can select it from there yourself: www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/game/918917.htmlHope this helps!

one of the things to think about is that symbols are like stocks in that initially they only cost a few gold but as you level up the lands you increase the value of that "color" so if you know your playing a mainly green book buy a few symbols early before you have your land leveled up then once you have some big lands sell the symbols for profit.... the ol buy low sell high thing.. example: (not sure on the actuall costs these are arbitrary numbers for refference) no lands leveled or creatures placed green symbols cost 10gp ea. put a creature on a green land it goes up a few gp have 4-5 green lands at lvl5 and each symbol costs 99gp ea... now if you bought 50 green symbols for 10gp ea for total of 500gp they are now worth 4,950gp and if on your next turn you sell them (i didnt realize i could do this at first) you will have made a 4,450gp profit which could put you in a position to quickly level some more lands or something else you might need the gp for...etc... this can also be done on a smaller scale to gradually make chunks of gp its very helpfull to use the L1 key to view your info during play you can see symbol values and such with just a little exploring p.s if i am wrong please feel free to straighten me out the above is just how i percieved it... im still new to this myself
