Well, after hearing the gushing review for this game from Penny Arcade, my buddy picked it up, and after playing once with him, I had to get it myself. And now I'm hooked . I come to the game via a background in M:TG, which I got into right after Legends and stopped playing soon after Mirage. I still have all my cards because I keep thinking I'll play again. Heh. Culdcept definitely introduces a similar challenge to starting a new CCG on a limited budget. You begin to learn the deeper strategies, and you realize your cards aren't quite good enough, but you can't afford all the cards you want, so you make do and get better in the meantime . Anyway. I'm still learning. I have a lot to learn. My skills are weak. But every time I walk away from the game a few hours later I'm itching to play it again, and that's a good sign. Overall, this is one of the best $35 I've spent on a console game. Now, back to studying. Culdcept, I mean. Heh.
