It's nice to see Culdcept on IGN's radar, but best
PUZZLE game of the year. Best runner up is Devil Dice 2? WTF? Umm, yea. It doesn't belong in the strategy category at all...

So let's see what got best strategy... ahh romance of the sleeping kingdoms. It brings back fond memories of falling asleep in front of the TV...

How Culdcept can be classified as a "Puzzle Game" is just beyond my comprehension. Strategy, sure. Board game, sure. You might even be able to argue on the fringes of RPG, since you're continually "improving" your character by increasing its abilities in battle (by acquiring new cards to improve your deck).

But, Puzzle? No way! Myst is a puzzle game, and I can't stand Puzzle games.

I welcome anyhow the fact that Culdcept was awarded. To be sure, Culdcept should be a strategy game.
However, some worthy rivals exist in strategy games.
And since Culdcept came out at the end of the year,
its name recognition is low.
It is the answer which Culdcept is awarded "Culdcept is good".

By ign even giving it a award will only help get more people to buy it. Then maybe the sequel will be online

Hey, don't get me wrong! I'm glad that it appears on IGN's Awards list, too! If they had to "make room" to mention it by putting it in a different category, I'm glad that they did. However, for anyone who goes out and purchases the game expecting to have their brains wracked by Culdcept's "puzzle" content, I think they'll be rather disappointed.
