[glow=red,2,300]Smash Najaran with this deck:[/glow]
1 Archbishop 1 Decoy 1 Leoknight 1 Migoal 1 Giant Amoega 1 Kraken 2 Shell Creeper 1 Vision 1 Wizard 2 Yeti 1 Angostura 1 Armadillo 1 Trench Worm ------------------------- 1 Air Slasher 1 Amber Ring 2 Counter Amulet 1 Earth Shield 1 Freeze 1 Gaseous Form 2 Kris 2 Prismatic Wands 1 Ring of the Vampire 1 Ruby Ring 1 Vestment ------------------------------ 2 Death Cloud 1 Disease 1 Fly 1 Growth Body 1 Ice Storm 1 Land Protection 2 Magic Bolts 3 Shatter 1 Sink and of course 1 Temperance!
With that combo, losing to Najaran is like getting an 'F' in PE class....you practically have to try! Good Luck.

I am not very good at recognizing patterns and such in this game yet (Heck, I'm still trying to remember the names of the cards ) so is it possible that you could give a little description of how this deck is supposed to work against him? Like certain card combinations and such?

[glow=red,2,300]Anti-Najaran Strategy:[/glow]
Najaran (& Zeneth & all AI Characters for that matter) are uncannily lucky when it comes to die rolls. I can use fly and still lose on laps.
And maybe I overstated how easy Najaran is to beat. However, the basic strategy involves utilizing her own money against her. Since we humans seem to run out of Magic ($) so fast, you have to steal hers. You also need a touch of luck on the small Dunnan board. I recommend luck! Hehe. Try to get any creature, especially an earth creature, on the earth land on your first roll! This will allow for you to use better characters that require land ownership too. Usually around round #10, I have at most 3 characters laid, while Najaran will have about 8 or 9. At least one of my characters will be to level 3 too, if all goes well. Save your Disease cards for Najaran's creatures that both match the land and are at level 2 or more. Najaran will waste her Peace spell on her own character then, and will continue to invest in that character even when you don't have to pay. If you intend on stealing that high level creature, then alter the land only when you are positioned with a strong creature nearby and a readily available weapon. Make sure Najaran doesn't have Counter Amulet! You can also use your Migoal or Shell Creeper to hit Fire/Wind creatures with territory move even when you know that they won't win. This way you neutralize Najaran's attack and possible make her waste a defensive item; again, make sure she doesn't have Counter Amulet. Use your Shatter cards to rid Najaran of Counter Amulet and her Shatter, or an item that you see as dangerous in the near future to you. Add Wings to your key characters; let other characters fall in battle if you need to save Magic. And finally, don't let Najaran's Cat Sith get too strong. If so, you had better hope that you have your Leoknight handy, or maybe a Wizard and a penetration spell. Archbishop is also good for attacking Gremlin to stop Gremlin's annoying destroy tactic.
Make sure you watch Najaran eat a turkey stick at Castle Reward time!!
Good Luck.

Rust would be a far better replacement than Shatter- that way youre able to take out all item cards at once. Edit- Yeah- I know the difference between Rust and Ruin.

Rust and Ruin are far better cards than Shatter, however I usually find that Najaran only holds one to two items or spells in her hand at one time, so usually you're only really taking out two cards at most - and because of rust and ruin's greater cost - I'm not really all that sure that they are worth it. Don't forget that ruin destroys all of your spell cards as well as your opponents.
Of course, you could get lucky and pull this cards when she happens to be holding three or four cards that you can then get rid of, but...

I always tend to favor Rust- In my experiences, Najaran normally carries 2-4 items with her at any point. I stopped playing with Ruin because there was never a point where I only had Ruin and the opposing cepter had a handful of spell cards. Shatters are always good cards, but I use them sparingly, no more than 1 or 2 in a deck, and I remember several times that I would shatter a counter amulet just to have her draw another item a moment later. Every enemy cepter uses items, some with frightening frequency, so Rust is just always a better choice for me. Also remember that you can slightly manipulate the enemy cepters item usage- if you're frequently attacking, the enemy cepter will naturally use his/her defensive items- vice versa if you play with cards that will make the enemy challenge you.

This deck works very well against her. I also beat her,zen, ryv, and pik in a four way on the heav altar with this deck as well. The match took 2 hours and I kicked their ass. Mega props for a great book
