There are a lot of cards with DLR and a discard that are usable with gold idol. Old Willow, Igneous Fatui, Gooba Queen, Beelzebub and all those, etc... Anyone try this? How did it work?

I had a deck that was based around Basalt Idol, but it used Gold Idol as well. It was ok, but nothing special. The biggest problem with the Gold Idol is that a lot of the cards that will benefit from it require lots of G to place. The exception to this is cards that require a discard, which are usually pretty cheap. But, Basalt Idol with Gold Idol, then I'd run Ba-Al, Wraiths, Igneous Fatui, etc. It wasn't as good as I had hoped, but perhaps you could do better than me.
