I'm really struggling with making a "no creatures" deck to win that medal. In reading the "Japanese Decks" thread I'm beginning to get a clue as to how it *could* be done. I'd like to know if anyone has done it, and what deck they used. Is there a way besides 'Goblin's Lair' and 'Spartoi' to claim lands without putting in creatures?
The next question I'm going to post is the "Powder Eater Sprawl" deck question. So you can get cooking on that deck too in your spare time.

Hello and welcome, there have been several postings of strategies of these types in the Medal sections, so I encourage you to check there, rather than have all of us repost our decks and strategies. There was a lively debate if Spartoi and Goblin's Lair even worked towards the medal, most of us built an all spell deck that utilized quick and easy money, with a lot of creature destruction to keep the opposition low- it's not too hard of a medal in all honesty, I got it on my first try vs Mullyn on Cratos 2- but please research and see what the others say...

Hi there, I agree with the speed deck, but I did accomplish the victory with a Goblin Lair. The key is to play a short game, like Selena. I would like to suggest Dunnan but I am at the last battle, and that means I have to fight Zenith there...not something I look forward to.
Selena is an easy target to beat with no creatures as long as you know what she likes. Think Christmas...red and green. If you know that, and have some Ice Storms, you can let her put her creatures out, then wipe them out. Use speed cards to move quickly around the board and to avoid her creatures. I lost the first time, but that was because the computer had my two Goblin Lair cards near the back, and even then it was close. The second time I won, so it can be done.

Spartoi and Goblin's lair are great spells, but I depended more on Raise Dead. I would use this after wiping out a lot of creatures with damage spells. This gave me elemental creatures in my deck. I also used Polymorph and Turnt to the Wall to chang the Goblins and skeletons into other creatures.

I got it by simply making a deck so BRUTAL on the opponents mana (yeah I know I play this tune alot...but its soooo good) that they cant do anything. I get a lot of holy words and speed cards, a ton of torture, pain, drain, mana and fairy lights and add things like elemental rage plague and scourge. I then just keep buying symbols. They can buy whatever they want to because all there doing is making my symbols worth more and increasing MY profits with THEIR efforts ;D
