I don't know about anyone else, but I've noticed several inaccuracies in Culdcept. The best-known one is the Kelpie, which carries the label of "Defense" but is not a defense creature. There is also the Insect Swarm spell, which does 20 damage, but only to creatures whose HP is less than their MHP, although the card doesn't specify that requirement.
In addition, the Shrine occasionally fibs. Sometimes it will announce that one Cepter may not move until the other Cepter has rolled an even number—only to destroy a random card in the target Cepter's hand! It seems to destroy the card less often, but not by much. The Shrine might also say that it is going to change the strength or MHP of (or do damage to) all Green creatures, but then all the Blue creatures receive that effect instead.
The last error I can think of at the moment is the one involving the Scholar of Artifacts medal. The description that you see after you've earned the medal says that you must collect at least 10000 G in tolls using a book with no items. The actual requirement is that you collect 1000 G or more in total tolls with such a book.
Does anyone know of any others?

culdcept.proboards27.com/index.cgi?board=rules2&action=display&thread=1173723852(Note: The author of this thread mistakenly claims that Drain Magic is supposed to drain 50% of the target's G, but it is actually supposed to drain 30%.) This thread also mentions a bug in the game, in which the Drain Magic spell causes the user to lose G instead of the target (who is unaffected) when it's used by a Cepter who was just targeted by it. Stranger yet, the hapless user loses more than 50% of his magic instead of 30%. I've never experienced this one myself. I've also read (and learned the hard way) that Lord Blade's Medal Guide has wrong information in a few places. Lord Blade, do you have a beta version of the game or something? Is your copy different in any way from the standard Culdcept designed for the U.S. Playstation 2?

I hate the countless number of ways they refer to the cards in hand. Off the top of my head, I recall number of draws and number of deals (I really can't remember much right now). It took me a while to find out how Larvea worked too. I think it activates if you have more than 3 cards in your hand, but it sounds like it is refering to the deck. Also, the 4 masters (Beelzabub, Dagon, etc.) have Scroll Critical Hit in combat, but it is written on the card. Theres a lot. I actually think it's kinda fun deciphering those sometimes. If you enjoy a puzzle learning how things work, pick up Master of Monsters for Sega Genesis. It doesn't have typoes like in Culdcept, but they don't tell you what anything does (I didn't have a manual with it), and it is kinda hard to find out sometimes.

One of the GameFAQs guides also mentions that Insect Swarm targets all creatures in a single Area. Until I realized that, I was wondering WTF? about it and Tempest, which targets all creatures in play and thus justifies its tremendous cost. I'm inclined to believe that those are merely a case of mislabelling. The first event you mentioned ought to have been labelled "One random Ceptor loses a Creature card from his or her hand." I've paid enough attention to the "bug" to see what the real effect was.

And now for a lie in a positive direction:
Pyrallis
Text should be:
"During battle, ST +((Red Lands owned) x 10)"
