I promise, I'm not trying to turn the Culdcept Forum into the Disgaea Forum! However, I did make a post on GameFAQs today regarding Disgaea that I thought I would cross-post over here...

According to a thread over on the DoubleJumpBooks message board, they are thinking about releasing (and are currently test-publishing) a new, "Limited Edition" version of their Disgaea Strategy Guide. According to this thread:

- This new Strategy Guide will contain the same "Second Edition" information as contained in the PDF file that is currently available for purchase via the DoubleJumpBooks website; and

- The price is expected to be $19.95 plus $4.95 shipping and handling in the U.S. ($8.00 S/H for Canada). California residents should also add Sales Tax.

For those who are interested in purchasing this Strategy Guide, the book company is providing an E-mail address for those people to use. Sending an E-mail to that address will result in an E-mail being sent back to you when the Strategy Guide is available for purchase. I have the first one and its great. It breaks down each map and gives great hints. I prob wont get the new one but peeps who cant get it, this is great news

I have the first one as well. I really don't need another one. It's great that they're re-releasing them though because I know a lot of people who want one.

For those of you (like me!) who are interested in the updated edition of the Disgaea Strategy Guide, here's a copy of the E-mail I received this morning from the folks at DoubleJump Books:

It's taken a little longer than we had hoped to get the bugs worked out of a 2nd print run, but things have progressed and we're expecting that we should be able to finally start taking orders sometime during the week of April 5th.

For those who don't already know the details, this special edition of the official Disgaea: Hour of Darkness strategy guide includes updated information that was not available at the time we printed the first edition, including more details in secrets, capturing monsters, item ranks, job evolutions, class prerequisites and is printed on nicer paper than the first. The price is expected to be $19.99 + $4.95 for Priority Mail shipping inside the US, or $8 for Global Priority to Canada.
