Hi everyone,
First time here - I discovered this little gem of a game at EB games for 11.99 - thought I'd check it out and am thoroughly enjoying it. I haven't had this much fun with a game since Suikoden.
Anyway, I'm a little hazy on some of the cards and card rules.
1) Knight's Shield (I think this is the name) - it is supposed to neutralize damage if the creature has 40ST or higher. The problem is, I've never had it work! Even with creatures with 70 or 80 strength, it just says "unable to neutralize". Does it mean 40ST before land and items?
2) What are the rules for when you can modify territories? Sometimes it seems like I can only modify the territory that I own and land on, sometimes I can modify several adjacent ones, and other times I can even modify if I land on an opponent's territoy.
3) I'm playing story mode right now. My girlfriend has expressed an interest in playing as well - if we want to play a versus game, can she start a new story game and use that deck when we play together? Can you use decks you win in versus mode in story mode? (I've only tried story mode so far...)
Thanks for your help!

1) Cards like Knight's Shield go for the base strength. So, for example, if you fight a Lilith (0/30, gains +10 str. for each card in hand during battle), and it gains 60 strength, you will NOT neutralize. But if you fight, say a Knight (50/40, critical to creatures with 50 or more MHP), then you will neutralize. There are a lot of abilities, such as the Knights chance to critical hit, that work in the same manner.
2) You are only allowed to modify your territories with the Territory Ability at the end of your turn. The rule for using the territory ability: It will activate when you PASS OVER one of your territories during your move, or land on your own territory. If you move 3 spaces, pass over one of your spaces, and land on an empty space, when you use the territory ability, you must select the space you ran over to upgrade, exchange, or whatever. If you run over more than one of your own spaces, you must choose which one to upgrade.
3) You can create multiple characters in the game, and each one has seperate cards and books. If your girlfriend creates her own character and her own books, then you can battle each other in verses. If she wants to use one of your books, that can be done with the Export/Import Book function on your character. Since you can't have the same character loaded twice, you can simply export the book to use and import it on her character. The imported book will NOT put the cards into her collection though, but she can use the book in battles. That being said, it's usually better to play through a couple levels in story mode and create your very own book.
I hope I answered your questions. If you have more, feel free to ask.

Thanks for the information, AceLeader!
Oh, I did have another question - after one battle on story mode (I just made it to the one (and have been killed several times on) where you fight Adha) I received a bonus map - I can't find out where to go to that one. Is it available in story mode (as part of the story?) or do I need to go to versus mode to check it out?
Also, do the kind of cards you receive depend on the map? I just discovered in story mode that you can go back to previous areas and re-battle some former opponents - will the selection differ this early on, or am I just as likely to get something nifty fighting Golgi as I am anyone else?
Thanks!

The bonus maps are given aftr you recieve a certain number of medals. They come in incrimants of 5. They can only be played in verses as far as I know.
There have been many discussions on the forum about what cards you recieve from the end of battles. My view on this is that, in story mode, you get cards that reflect your opponents decks. For example, after battling with Zagol, you will recieve fire creatures, neutral creatures, wind creatures, and items. Never spells, because Zagol doesn't use spells in his books. Check out the other threads for more info on this.
