I made a first strike deck. One of my first striking creatures attacked one of my opponents creatures, also with first strike. I was on offence, the computer was on defence.
The defender struck first!
I thought that if both creatures had first strike, the attacker would still go first. I'm wrong?

The only thing that would prevent the offensive first striking creature from going first would be if the defender used the hourglass item (which removes first strike).
I know of no other circumstances in which the defender would go first. What creature did you attack with and what was the defender?

I don't remember. It happend so quick.
I was playing Goligan in a Vs. match (not story mode). He was using his Idol book. I'm pretty sure I was attacking with a Dragonfly. He had some idol out that gave his Defense creatures first strike. I think it was some kind of wall/defense creature. But probably not.
When it happened, I just let it slide thinking I must be wrong... but I guess I'm not.

My bad... i think I was attacking with a Quetzalcoatl and although it gives all creatures with first attack a boost to STR, it does not have first attack itself.
Duh.
