Ok- I'm not delusional right? It does clearly state on the card that Tetramorph takes off 50 Damage from a target creature that does not match it's land placement. So why is it only doing 20? Another "bad" translation?

No, the translation isn't wrong, you didn't read the card right.
Tetramorph has two abilities:
1) A Boost Ability: -20 HP to all Offensive creatures.
2) A Territory Ability: 50 Damage to target creature (with the requirement that the target creature must be mismatched with the land it is on - ex. red creature on a yellow land).
You can access Tetramorph's territory ability (like all territory abilities) by accessing it using the territory command - i.e. instead of 'leveling up' the territory, select the 'territory ability' option.

Utawoutau- Uh...thanks for the tip on territory abilities, but I do know exactly what they are and how to use them. Have you actually used Tetramorph in battle? I know of both of Tetramorph's abilities (the boost and the damage) and I did read the card correctly, but you are telling me that when YOU use the territory ability 50 damage gets deducted? I think you'd better double check since I've been playing with him(she/it?) in every deck on the off-chance hope that he'll begin to take a famed 50 damage rather than the paltry 20 provided (helpful in removing decoys and idols, sure- but other than that, it's like a magic bolt)...I wonder if its a case of the original card being "toned down" like Mistletoe...

You're right about Tetramorph. The text seems wrong - not "Engrish," but flat out WRONG. The boost ability works right, the territory ability is messed up. Tetramorph's only use, for me, is in my First Attack book along with Virus and Quetzcoatl.

Yup, Tetramorph's description is just plain wrong. The skill only does 20 points of damage. Very disappointing.
HOWEVER, it is still a very powerful card, and a 20 damage territory ability (even if only to mismatched creatures) is very nice. I've used it to devastating effect against opponents. Frankly, it would be insanely overpowered if it actually did 50 damage.

Sigh...I have to agree, it would be rather powerful, but definitely a worthwhile reward for all the medals- its not as though anyone can use it, you have to EARN it. I use it all the time, it takes out Decoys, Idols and Bandits with wonderful abandon, but becuase they're can only be ONE its a little limited and more often than not I don't use the abilities (unless I happen to have an evil blast/magic bolt in my hand to kill a tough creature. Love the card, but so disappointed.

Sorry, sorry I have to say that I used Tetramorph once, but I didn't actually use its territory ability - so I wasn't aware that it only did 20 damage when it says 50. I thought that you were confusing the 20 from the boost with the 50 from the territory ability. But I guess it turns out that it is 20 damage in both cases. Sorry again!

Ah don't apologize- most of my nastiness was from disappointment that I would certainly not be taking 50 HP off of certain creatures,

I actually had the tetramorph only 18 damage to a creature the creature had 36 hp left so this leads me to believe that the tetra morph does 50% of remaining hp damage not 50 damage or 20 damage

I have to disagree. I play with Tetramorph all the time and it always takes off 20- perhaps in your case there was a Cray Idol out on the field? Or the enemy cepter reached the castle to get the 20% HP bonus for his creatures.

Well if you play with Tetramorph "all the time", then it can't "SUCK" that much. The card is pretty awesome. If it did 50 damage as it actually claims, then the Cepter on the receiving end might as well take it up the _ _ _ !

Fascinating use of logic there. What "sucked" was the disappointment that the card would only be doing 20 damage rather than 50- After playing with it in various decks to make sure that it would only take off the 20 damage, I've grown to like it and its a staple in every deck. Thinking about it, I don't see why 50 damage would be so bad- you have to work hard for those damned medals and its not like you can target any creature in play- you can only target those on mismatched lands- the only stage where it would be an absolute catastrophe would be The Alchemists Lab
