Since no one likes this thread... You have no choice now! Narrow it down to your all time Favorite game, Period. Mine is Tetris (NES). Something about falling blocks and the sheer difficulty of the game leads me to believe after countless hours of play, a line is the answer to all of life's questions (or more boulders). Nothing could make me fall of the face of the planet, faster and with such longevity. I will never own fish again due to this game My brain hurts from thinking of what one game is the game of game's. This is my opinion, so crack a beer (if of age) and reply. You may need the beer for your headache after choosing one game.

To pick just ONE game as an all-time favorite ? Such a tough choice...
I think I would go for Panzer Dragoon Saga, on Sega Saturn. Spent countless marvelous hours on it...

One of my favorites had been Tetris, provided that it's the Tengen version. A friend of mine purchased that when it was new, and he and his wife invited me and my wife over one night for dinner, and ran the game for us. It turned out to be one of the few games that my wife actually enjoyed playing, so we went out looking for it the very next day! It had already been recalled by that time, so we had a tremendously difficult time securing a copy. When the Nintendo version came out, it was so far inferior to the Tengen version that our Nintendo copy hardly ever got any playing time.
I also remember spending countless hours with various Joust machines, as that was one of my favorites, too. Had the current compilation products containing titles like Joust and Tempest received better reviews, I might want to add them to my collection just to have games like that at-hand to play...

Wait, what Tengen version? I was play the nintendo or gameboy versions. I know not of Tengen. Is that for the Atari? PC? No, the Tengen version of Tetris is for the NES. It has an overwhelmingly "Russian" theme to it, with Russian music and little dancers that "perform" between levels and things like that. It also has an interesting two-player mode, which isn't part of the other Tetris releases. It's really the best version of Tetris that there is, IMHO. Due to legal action (copyright-related) taken by Nintendo, Tengen was forced to pull the game from store shelves, making it extremely rare. If you want to find out more about the history of this game, here are a couple of links that you can check: - www.atarihq.com/tsr/special/tetrishist.html- www.nbrid.net/article/152/?topic_id=64- www.gamers.com/game/130107Copies of Tengen's Tetris are regularly available on eBay, but complete copies (cartridge, box, sleeve, instructions and poster) currently sell for $50-$100 or more. Even the cartridge alone sells for $20 or $30. If you're a Tetris fan and you've never played Tengen's version, it's certainly worth it to hunt it down.

This is tough, but I'll give it a shot:
Arcade: Ikari Warriors (Maybe not the best, but many fond memories....)
NES: Dragon Warrior III SNES: Zelda - A Link to the Past Genesis: Shining Force TurboGrafx-16: Blazing Lasers PS1: Final Fantasy Tactics PS2: GTA III Gameboy: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance Gamecube: Animal Crossing
My 2 cents.
