When I create AI characters they seem to play pretty stupid. How do you create an AI character that is smart? Is a computer AI character smarter if you put all 9's or what? I don't understand it says something like "Upgrades Land Without Regard To Symbol" and I assign it a 9 does it mean the computer is really smart in that aspect of the game or does that just mean the computer will have a tendency to upgrade that land on his turn rather than exchange creature or whatever?
Anyway, If anyone knows how to create an AI character that is really smart please help.
Thanks a lot,

I just started the game about 3 weeks ago, and I'm just now getting into AI creation myself. Any tips or links to guides would be greatly appreciated.

I think that means that it will level up land even if it doesn't have a lot of symbols pertaining to that land.
Higher may mean that it will level up any land it can when possible and lower might make the AI try to either level up lands that it has symbols for, or level up lands of the same color more often than not.

One thing I noticed the computer does a lot is when I curse his land with "Peace" he will still continue to level up that land but he doesn't attempt to remove the curse. Not smart.

In truth, utilizing "Peace" on your own lands is a pretty viable strategy - and the computer isn't necessarily fudging up by not bothering to rid itself of that status effect.
Think about it, even though you cannot collect a toll, you can still level the land - thus increasing your total score and increasing the tolls of chained lands as well. And because you don't collect a toll, characters are unable to invade - so you most likely never have to worry about losing that land.

Yep, only direct magic cards can beat a land like that, correct?

You can only have one curse/spell on a land, so putting something else on it will work. Also, if the player swaps a creature I think spells go away on the creature/land. This is a subtlety that took a while to figure out (and I don't think I understand it 100% still).

Thats huge too, because swapping out an injured creature is a huge key to this game imo.

Hey Gang,
I have yet to even get to the point I can make AI characters but I *THINK* those 1-9 scales set the priorities and how they make decisions. Setting everything to 9 would be pretty meaningless then since it would be saying, "The AI should do EVERYTHING all the time...". You need to let it know what is MORE IMPORTANT than what. If everything is set to 9 its going to play pretty randomly without any real plan.
