Damn Engrish - I don't understand Efreet's attack:
Last Attack, Scroll attack - User will lose the same amount of HP as magical powers.
What the heck is that supposed to mean?

Yeah, the Efreet card has a very bad translation. Here it is in complete English:
The Efreet will always attack last (assuming you don't use a first attack item), even if on offense.
The Efreet will also cause a critical hit if it uses a scroll.
The player using the Efreet will lose the same amount of mana after the battle as the amount of HP it has left.
Hope this helps.

Oh, ok. Thanks. I played with it last night - not that great of a card considering that you have to sacrifice a card AND it drains magic every time it does damage.

I just wanted to clarify here that Efreet does not have scroll critical hit. Instead, if the efreet player does not use an item, efreet automatically uses a scroll that does 40 damage.
I agree that it isn't a good card. I prefer sorceror.

If Efreet didn't have Compensation or Last Attack, he'd be good. As it stands, i've been pummeled due to Last Attack, and the Compensation is just entirely too costly.
Much like creatures like Flame Lord, its entirely too much effort to use them (still, creatures like Flame Lord will be found in a deck i'm building...)

What this does mean, though, is that Efreet will blast the heck out of a Decoy - which could make him very useful. Wouldn't he also have penetration as well?

Eh...just the fact that Efreet could kill a decoy doesn't really qualify him as very useful, there are a lot of ways to kill a Decoy and not all Cepters play with them.

Tried it. It doesn't kill the decoy. Why? I don't know. It looked like it didn't do the scroll attack.

Your Efreet didn't kill the decoy because it doesn't have a default scroll attack like Sorcerer. BahamutXero's translation of the card's text is correct.

My favorite way to kill a Decoy is to simply play a virus on the board. All Decoys will pretty much die instantly in combat unless they've been augmented with mutation or growth body.
Virus is also a free card to play (0 mana) which is cool.
