Yet again, I am interested in soliciting your opinions.....
I'm trying to figure out which wireless controllers are considered to be "the best" for both the PS2 console and the Xbox console. I've read a number of things about different brands, and as usual, I'd like to hear from our Forum's membership about this subject before I make a decision.
Just to let you know, I'm not hooked-up online for any of my console systems, so that is not a consideration for me (I've read that some wireless controllers are not configured properly for all the connections required for online play, but I don't really care about that). In addition, I know that some wireless models can be rather pricey, but if a more expensive model is a significantly better controller, then I believe that it's probably worth the price.
So, if you have any information about this (manufacturer, model numbers, or even trusted review sites on the Internet), please respond in this thread. Thank you!

CG, I'm not stalking you.... : ) I'm in the same boat, the way my PS2 is setup, I've got to drag it out from the bottom of my entertainment cabinet [no doors] and stretch out the cords so I can put my lazy butt on the sofa. [my sofa is about 8-10 feet from the tv, and I can't leave the PS2 out because my little boy plays with the controllers [cute] and stands on it [not cute.]] Anyway--I'm also looking for one that has a good receiver, because I usually play lying down or at least not sitting up, so probably 2/3 the time, the corded part of the controller is aimed up at the ceiling instead of directly at the console. IGN really liked the Fountech Airstyle, review: gear.ign.com/articles/409/409786p1.htmlnote on pricing/availability: gear.ign.com/articles/422/422538p1.htmlSo it's supposed to be very good, but very expensive and very hard to find Anyone else have one they'd recommend, and can discuss pros/cons?

CG, I'm not stalking you.... : ) I don't think that you're stalking me, dtcarson... Unless you decide to show up at my front door some day... Well, I've basically found (aside from what you have posted above) that: - the Mad Catz Lynx wireless controller is generally recommended for the PS2; and - the Logitech 2.4GHz wireless controller is generally recommended for the Xbox. So, without having any first-hand knowledge, it appears as they rate: - PS2: (1) Fountech; and (2) Mad Catz Lynx; and - Xbox: (1) Logitech; and (2) Mad Catz Lynx. Anyone else have any comments that they can contribute? They would be much appreciated!!

Why not just get an extension cable. There only about $7 dollars and they give you 7 more feet

The Logitech controller for the Xbox is very expensive (at least here...€80 !)
Moreover, Hardgamers.com rated the Mad Catz Lynx quite highly (90/100) (http://www.hardgamers.com/materiel.asp?no=57) and since it's far cheaper, it seems to be a better choice. But since I haven't tried any of them, my advice is purely theoric.
Note the $ mentioned in the review are Canadian dollars ^^

Stay away from any Pelican wireless controllers. They are inexpensive, yet they are inresponsive and glitchy. The controllers are sub-par, in my opinion.
Logitech may be a bad choice if the controllers are comparable to the racing wheels, they make. My brother had purchased one and returned it the next day due to lack of response. Not to mention the calibration was way off.

If I'm not mistaken, the Logitech was designated as the #1 PS2 controller in the most recent issue of the Official Playstation Mag (for what that's worth).
