Guh. Is that all I put in there? You get Soltis by getting every non-E card in the game.

Thank you very much - Only 10 more cards to go before getting it (Woo Hoo)
(I feel like a darn little engine, slowly but surely getting there)

Ok, I think I'm am missing something here.
I have filled every spot in the 480-card library, with the only hole being where Soltis fits in. I also have the four Extra cards from Story Mode (Rainbow Shard, Erasure, Lance of Odin, and Sanctum Guard). Plus I have collected 35 medals so far, acquiringthe five Extra cards for that. Yet I still do not have the Soltis.
What am I doing incorrectly? Is there something else I need to do? Currently, I am at Quanze, dueling Gamygin and Mullyn. Do I need to finish Story Mode first, or am I just being too impatient?
Any help would be appreciated.

No, you should be able to get Soltis before finishing story mode. Are you absolutely sure there are no other gaps in your 480 card collection? On your stats menu, where it lists your total number of different cards, does it say 479 (+ the number of cards you've earned from medals)? Because that's all you need for Soltis.

On the stats menu, it says 484. That's the 479 plus the five Extra cards from medals I've received (Leoknight, Polymorph, Astral Queen, Dragon Helm, and Lightcraft).
So I don't know what I could be missing.....
Time passes....
After posting the earlier message, I played a match against an AI character that I had created. The game was nothing special, was a somewhat relaxing game. Afterward, I was awarded the Soltis card.
So now the question is, why did the CPU wait until then to award Soltis when the conditions to get it were met previously??

Maybe it was playing hard to get and didn't want to reward you for your good faith effort, but later had guilty feelings?

Did you pick up the last card you needed by trading with someone? If so, you wouldn't get Soltis until you finished your next game. Soltis and the four "I have all of this color" cards all work that way -- it only checks to see if it should give you the card when you finish a match.

Yeah, you need to actually complete a match and see the movie to win any bonus cards. You must have gotten the last card you needed from trading and not from a match, so it waited until you finished the match to award the card.

Actually, the final Extra card needed to get Soltis (Sanctum Guard), I had received three matches prior to getting Soltis. I played two more matches, winning both, in Story mode. When I switched to vs. mode and played against an AI, then I received Soltis.
There was no trading, and had the other 479 for quite some time. For whatever reason, when I played against Goligan or Selena in vs. mode, I always received at least one card that I did not have before. Maybe the CPU figured it had given me enough good fortune that it wanted to hold back Soltis for a while?

Trading? You can trade cards? How? Is that something unique to the Japanese version of the game? I've got the US version and I was under the impression that the game didn't have any online capability, which is where I imagine tradeing would take place...

You can create other characters and/or an AI to play with in Versus matches, then trade cards with them to get other cards (requires a few build-ups of the others, first so they get better cards). You don't even have to "trade" your main Cepter's cards, just take theirs in trade. Someone else will have to explain "card capture" because I don't use that feature much. Trading? It doesn't have any online capability. But if you have a friend who is also playing, that friend can bring over the memory card with their Culdcept save file, and you can play in a game together in Versus Mode. While both of your characters are loaded into the game, there is a 'Trade' menu option. This allows you to give the other person up to four of your cards (and vice versa), but you can't give someone a card that they already have any of. So you can use it to complete your set, but it is useless for trying to get 4 of a card.
