I just got my 50th medal, Wings of Swiftness, playing against Mullyn on Dunnan. I took her down with a combination Old Willow and quick-lap book in 18 rounds. I had already collected all the cards, including all the E-rarity cards, when I got my 45th medal (Mechanical Duke, I think), so now I've got everything.
Thus, sadly, there is no goal left for me in Culdcept. I still haven't played too many of the extra maps, so I'll give some of them a shot. And there are some types of books I could try to set up and use in challenging scenarios…but really, I think I need to get an Xbox 360 in time to pick up Culdcept Saga in October. That online capability is going to make the new game awesome.
If Saga is successful on the 360, they should really think about releasing a PC version of Culdcept too. There would, of course, be issues about hacks and other unfair practices, but there are ways to get around that stuff.

My goal, and a lofty one at that, after getting 50 medals was to earn 4 copies of every card, as to be able to build any deck I wanted. Quite a hard goal to accomplish, as probability says that it will take me 4x the time to get 4 copies of every card (and I clocked over 100 hours). But, randomly playing can get tiresom, even in a great game. If I ever manage to get 4 copies of every card, I will consider the game beaten 100%.

I'm still working on the victorious 100 times medal, but after that I will join this club.

I'm proud to say I have joined this club. My last medal was the 100 wins vs. one computer opponent. It took me forever to actually get it though because frankly it's boring as hell getting it. All the other medals are some fun cool twist of the rules but just winning 100 times meh I got burnt out. Funny thing is I stopped playing for like three months then picked it up and decided I wasn't going to stop till I got the 100 wins medal and wouldn't you know I got it immediatly. Still it was alot of fun getting all these and I feel a sense of pride that I did it.

Today I am proud to join the ranks of cepters who have toiled to become a Victor Among Victors and obtained all 50 medals. The 100 wins does take forever... I wish that you got 4 of every card as a reward at this point, as there are still deck builds I'm unable to try because I only have one or two of some rare cards. Blech. Would you believe I only have one each of Leshy and Death Gaze? Nothing to do now but play a few matches with my girl (who actually helped me get a lot of the medals) on the extra maps, beat up on Pickett, and wait for Culdcept Saga.

Congrats to you and everyone in the past that I've missed. I agree about the 4 of every card idea. If it makes you feel any better, Topcat and I have roughly 5,000 cards each in Culdcept Saga and we still have a card or two that we only have one of and some that are still under four.

I am also on the mission of obtaining 4 copies of each card. I completed the 50 medal quest around 174 hours and have spent an additional 80 or so just making decks to battle to computer opponents. I think I am short about 25 or so total cards to have 4 of each. I am hoping to complete the goal before Saga arrives. I will post and update as I get closer.

Heya Culdcept Forums! I haven't been here since Jan 2005, when I got my 50th medal, as posted here: culdcept.proboards27.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=medals&thread=1118373038&page=1#1118373038I guess they didn't have a stickied 50-medal club back then, so here's my belated post =) I recently started playing again w/ my friend who just got back from 2 years in England, and I'm so glad to be back into the game! I also just got a 360 this past fall, and I'm super-excited for Saga in February. I look forward to returning to these boards as Feb draws near.

Still it was a lot of fun getting all these and I feel a sense of pride that I did it. A sad thing happened to me recently I went to play a PS2 game (something I haven't done in months) and I could not find my memory card. You can probably see where this is going for the most part. Anyway I asked my wife if she had seen it and she told me a little hesitantly that a few months ago our dog had chewed it to bits and she didn't have the heart to tell me, you see she knew how much time I had put into getting those 50 medals (not to mention how many levels I had gotten for my Disgaea characters). Alas I will have to start over to get them all again but I don't know if I have the energy...
