I'm confused at how to earn some achievements. The ones for changing all the land to a certain color for instance.. Do these require the ENTIRE book to be just creatures of one color ?? I have definitely used all of one color but also spells and it doesn't seem to work.. Also other achievements like the 3 vs 1 I won but I had myself controlling one of their teammates, sabotaging them whenever I could and I didn't get the achievement. Thanks for the help guys

It only requires that the creature cards in your deck are all of one color. You may have spells and items.

The most reasonable thing to do is to get the all-creatures-of-one-color in the same game that you get the all-lands-turned-to-that-color achievement.
In order to do this, go to VS mode, and in the second options screen, scroll down and set the G limit to 10,000, and the land type to all purple/morphing. Then choose the smallest map, and an opponent who has the same colored lands as you. This way you don't even have to bother with any land-changing spells, because they'll all be the same color by the end of the match. Just pack the best creatures, spells, and items you have for that color, and go for it. It also helps to know your opponent. For instance, the all-green forest chick does not use any spells.

Wow, I could have sworn I'd read this advice on this forum somewhere. That's exactly what I finished doing yesterday.
Note that the creatures don't even have to be the best creatures of that color, but simply invulnerable to damage from that color. For instance, I wouldn't usually run Mistwing, but I had 4x Mistwing and 4x Aquahorn (to turn to more Mistwings) in my mono-Water deck because I knew my opponent would only be using Water creatures. All the elemental dragons are useful because they all neutralize damage from their own element. Salamander becomes surprisingly useful. Pack these sorts of creatures, and winning is pretty simple.
For an easier time changing the whole board to a single color, pack Chariots/Telekinesis and Immediate creatures. Immediate creatures can turn up to 3 spaces quickly depending on the circumstances (play to empty purple square, Immediate move to the next empty purple square, pass it on the next roll and move it again).
