At least half of the opponents I encounter online seem to be running blue/yellow decks with Kelpies as their #1 means of winning. I started a thread to collect the best Kelpie-Abuse decks, so here's a thread where we can post and discuss Anti-Kelpie decks.
What's your ultimate Anti-Kelpie deck? Ideally it should be something that can hold its own against non-Kelpie opponents, but exceeds against preventing Kelpie abuse.
Post away!

culdcept.proboards27.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=sagadecklistings&thread=1204410951^^^ That's the link to my "Warlock" scroll deck, and it's pretty strong against the Kelp. It wasn't designed to be specifically anti-kelpie, but its strongest combo (paralysis, intrusion, and scroll attack, all before the die is rolled) is not something a Kelpie player likes to see. I'm also trying to get 4 Sculpture spells so I can build a deck around that. Kelpie turned into Statue by a global effect that ignores land protection and phantasm = PWNED. (especially when folowed up with battering ram, banishing ray, or saint)

I have a few answers
1. "Gremlin" + either Amethyst Ring, Vopral Sword* or Claymore (* Depending on mutated Kelpies)
2. Also my fave is Barrow Wight + Eagle Rapier (in case of first attacking Kelpie) = "Sleepy sleepy Kelpie"
3. Another personal fave Samurai + Claymore or Gremlin Tooth/Claw (if you want the % of death feature)
Kelpie is not a big problem for me I am used to combating him and Old Willow from the first one so its to be expected from all online players, though I really don't play with kelpie much. He makes the game too easy against AI anyway. I always Keep multi remedies for Kelpie in all my decks. Make sure to keep something like Crusher in your deck to shatter his support prior to arriving at his location.

the problem with those three options is that none really combats the Reflect enchantment, which is all the rage with the kids these days. but they are interesting and creative options.

Ah yes reflect, forgive me....There is always the Sage + >insert effective scroll here< like the sleep one, the name escapes me for the moment or the fear one.

lol... i'm pretty sure it's called "Sleep"
but then it's only a 50% chance. Do scroll critical characters affect the success rate of sleep?

I know that one was named sleep I was sleeping myself when I typed that it was the fear one that I could not remember, "Blaster Ray" thats the fear one. Sleep is 100% rate sleep, blaster ray is the 50% chance to send to a vancant space.
