With no access to high-speed where I live, I HAVE managed to get myself connected to XBOX Live over dialup. While I wouldn't expect to be able to play many games against an online opponent, it seems like if any game would tolerate a slow connection like mine, it would be this game. Has anyone tried it over dialup? If not, I'll report back once I get the game and give it a try.

I have not tried Xbox LIVE over dial-up, so I couldn't say for certain. However, I do agree that this game would be a much more tolerable over dial-up than most games. I imagine that most of the regulars on this forum wouldn't mind testing a game or two with you. Head over to this thread (if you haven't already) and add your name to the list: culdcept.proboards27.com/index.cgi?board=friends360&action=display&thread=1165243192

I have heard some horror stories about trying to connect to LIVE through other means. Have you tried to actually join in on any game online? I have a friend who uses satellite and he can only log into LIVE. He cannot join any game in LIVE without having his Xbox freeze and boot him out eventually. He can only be seen online and/or LIVE chat. I'm not sure if that helps any, but I've just heard of lots of problems. I could only imagine with dial up.
