Does anyone know about this?
Like when Its coming out for PS2 in America, and any other details. Culdcept is too obscure to find valid info on.

Shadowshear,
From my understanding, the game that you and I have been playing on our American PS2's IS Culdcept II.
Culdcept I was released on the Japanese Saturn about 8-9 years ago. I think that you played as Zeneth and Najaran was your buddy/rival (It says on their character descriptions that they only use cards that were available in the previous game). I'm also pretty sure that the last ten maps that you get from medals (like Sneph, Talio, and Gilman Island) were levels from the previous game. Finally, I downloaded three Desktop Walpapers from Gamespy way back when the game was first released; they clearly depict scenes from my version of the game but the logo says Culdcept 2 and the text is all Japanese. Also, I'm pretty sure that one of the Internet reviewers explained that Culdcept II was a Japanese Dreamcast release from 2001 or so. It seems to me that when they planned to release the American version, they decided just to call it Culdcept since the original game had no exposure outside of Japan.
Last I heard, there is no plans to make a sequel, which would be Culdcept III, or II to us. Sorry.

Now that you say that, it does make sense. I guess I just hadn't realized that Culdcept was that old. I've seen a Culdcepr II box art and it is different and sais PS2 Culdcept II, but perhaps thats the Japaneese version.
