I'm SOL for a bit as I've recently got the 3 rings of death ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I have a question. What do you need to play with the japanese players besides a japanese copy of the game? Do you need a modded xbox, etc.? Is basic knowledge of kenji (is that evern what they're called?) necessary? Thanks!

Been gone for a bit. Sorry for the wait: Updated.
You can only play the Japanese version on a Japanese Xbox 360. I am no expert in the "Current Gen" modding, but as with every system I have no doubt you can mod your 360 to play the Japanese (and burned) games. I just wouldn't recommend it if you enjoy your LIVE account. Or, invest in the kind of stuff you can turn off; again, I'm no expert. If you're familiar with the menu's in the Culdcept Saga US, then you can navigate them on the J-version by memory. Everything is in Japanese except for the voices which are still in English. So, if you know your cards already, you know your cards. The card names are in Katakana, and the descriptions, abilities, etc. are in Japanese (Hiragana/Kanji). If you check out any of the videos TopCat has posted of us playing you will notice the look of the Japanese game and card abilities/errata.
